Oh my God peoples, this is my favorite Cars song. You guys Rocked it real real Good…Dang i miss those 80s’ Rock songs..thanks for rocking it for me..great job
Hey guys thank you all for checking out this video! If you want to see more you can check us out here on our new channel. We have one upload now and are working on more.
Amazing job by you all 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻keep the cool Cars alive!!! Also this “My Best Friends Girl” and “Touch & Go” are my favourite songs by them though love probably the whole catalogue! Really enjoyed your cover and very talented y’all are 🙂✊🏻.
Great job playing great music 👍🏻 I was a junior in High School when this song and album came out and it was the first New Wave Rock record that took off main stream. Great party music 😁
Very classy of your organist... when singing chorus, and the lyrics are: "my best friend's girl... friend" she stops singing for: "she used to be mine..." Just classy. Good job.
Good job. I can understand the solo not being 100%. I recently learnt to play this and the speed at the end of the solo is insane, I could only get about 70% of the speed in the final lick.
No importa que se le haya haya olvidado el solo ... a cualquier guitarra le puede pasar pero el entusiasmo estaba ahí, buen cover ...saludos. Y no lo miren feo al guitarra.
At the 0:45 mark, what the heck is that guy doing mowing his grass in the background. He should respect that you young people were playing your hearts out. I guess he would rather grip about how other young kids today are spoiled vandalizing troublemakers.
So I was just going through our old performances and was surprised to see how many views this one had. The lead singer in this video ended up leaving and forming his own band called The Intrusion and they’re coming out with an EP of original music later this month. The rest of us are still together and we’re writing original music too now, hoping to have an album out before the end of the year. Thanks for your interest!
@@VioletAOP416 That's great to hear Jack. I'm a drummer. I played for 30 year's on and off. I could see that you were all very talented. The Cars first 2 albums were the first music I started to play to. I love the band and learned so much from them. It was great to see a younger generation of musicians appreciate them also. 👍 Best of luck in the future.
Thanks so much for the plug J! Sorry for the late reply but you can also check us out here at our RU-vid channel. We have one upload of a show from early last year on there and are working on uploading more videos.
no sean complacientes y digan la verdad , el unico aceptable es el cantante , los demas estan bien verdes , sobretodo el guitarrista principal. deben de mejorar bastante como grupo
The lead singer was great, and the kids on drums and keyboards were pretty good also, BUT they definitely need a new lead guitarist unless this dude improves A LOT.
Haha, thanks. It’s the drummer here and not that you would’ve known but I wouldn’t blame the guy for the rough performance here. I remember we called him up like a week or two before this show to learn this whole setlist and he’d never played with us before. It was about an hour long show, and this song is really tough. It was just kind of our dumb teenager brains thinking he’d be able to get it in that short of a time. He’s seriously one of the best guitar players I know now. It’s been a good while since this show and we’re still playing. He has in fact improved A LOT lol.
Well, Elliot Easton is an awesome guitarrist who provided beautiful and complex guitar arrangements. I'm not involved in country guitar style but the original song sounds not easy! So, considering these guys are crystal-generation they did it pretty good as a band!! And the lead guitar has got some years to work hard and get closer to Mr. Easton's brilliant technique
Wish i could have had a rickenbacker bass when i was his age. Rich kids jamming. It does sound good with a high quality instrument advance id hope so hopefully they stuck with it since then.
