I can appreciate that you aren’t freaking out about any issues. The absolute number one lesson I’ve learned in my plant journey is that new plants/imports may need a substantial amount of time to acclimate, and it’s usually totally fine in the end. Also, you’re making me want to get frogs I swear. It looks so interesting.

Your plants really look good for being in transit for three weeks.

you can feed isopods other things not just leaf litter, if they arent going in a reptile tank you can feed them similar stuff as the crickets, egg shells, cuttle bones, spinach etc :) they are awesome. I have dairy cows as well, they are my fave the magic potions are a type I would love to add though

Aww cute little cricket meal prep. I never knew what they ate but now I understand why crickets keep trying to get into our plant-based kitchen. 🌱☺️

Bestie! I’ve been dying to start a small colony of Rubber Ducky isopods! The only set back is their price 😅

How fun! I've been keeping isopods for a few years now. My favorites are Porcellio scaber orange dalmatian and Orin's calico, and Armadillidium klugii Montenegro. Oh, and P. pruinosis oreo crumbles. Have to be careful because they can be addictive just like houseplants, and suddenly you look around and wonder how you got 20+ cultures lol.

They look like woodlice, are they the same? What do you use them for?
@LulaMae21
@LulaMae21 3 года назад
Isopods are called woodlice in some places, yes! They are used as clean up crews in bioactive enclosures but they also make cool, easy care pets on their own.

The isopods-do you keep them 100% separate or do they all become integrated with the frogs At some point?

I will likely put one of the species in with the frogs but I’m planning to breed them and sell some!

What are the isopods for. To clean up the frog enclosure? Won’t they eat them?

My philodendron gloriousum came in the mail the other day (in transit for 2 days) and it has a pocket/blister filled with fluid? I assume it might be from trauma from being tossed around in the box but I was wondering if you’ve ever encountered it before or have any advice for what I should do moving forward so it doesn’t get worse? I’ve looked around that internet and for the most part I’ll I’ve found is about plant edema from overwatering which isn’t really what’s happening here because it’s not affecting the whole leaf/plant, just the one area. Someone told me to pop and drain it but I’m hesitant to damage the leaf. Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
@LulusLeaves
@LulusLeaves 3 года назад
I would personally pop it but it shouldn’t affect your plant negatively
@Elleocasia

So confused lol what creature is in this? You said it looks like they sat in that leaf.... lol so it's not isopods. I need to go investigate what the heck is in there and I'm assuming the crickets are their food

I love clear pots for all mine too!! Then I can tell where the soil is going when I repot too

What do you do when there are too many isopods? I have anxiety of not being able to give them away to keep my population down

@LulusLeaves
@LulusLeaves 3 года назад
The crickets are for the frogs, and the isopods can be used in terrariums to clean decaying matter
