Project Mommobile: Not Your Mother's Accord

I know, I know, the Honda Accord is something your mom would drive. I think the only car more popular with mothers, is an SUV. So why are we wasting our time with Project Mommobile? The 7th generation Accord is a vastly underrated chassis. It is essentially a TSX with a less powerful K24. It handles great, with double wishbone suspension front and rear. If the 7th gen Civic had suspension this good, well, you'd see piles of those cars getting converted to for track use.
On top of great suspension, it also has generous wheel opening for big wheels and big brakes. Prices on these car are reasonable these days. A decent 03-05 Accord can be had for $2000 to $4000. All this adds up to a decent budget track day build that handles like the Civics of yore*! But it does look like a car your mom would drive. If she was cool.
*Yore definition - Of long ago or former times (used in nostalgic or mock-nostalgic recollection) Mock nostalgic in this case.
In this episode we are going to bolt in a K24A2 from a TSX. It's a simple operation. All stock parts can be used. Speaking of a simple swap with all stock parts, we could bolt in a V6 from the TL Type S. Hmm, maybe in a later episode. We also have several other modifications coming up. We have Tein suspension, big brakes from FastBrakes and after we get it running we have some performance goodies for the engine.
