Opening for the first time the Accurascale acc2611 Class 37/037140 BR Blue, and WOW this looks good, the most expensive purchase, and the most detailed, only down side is I need a layout now to run this model.,
History
March depot's 37140 was one of the first Class 37s to gain the high visibility headlight, being so fitted in mid-1986. It also gained an orange cantrail stripe later the same year before it moved back to Stratford in May 1987. Although allocated to East Anglian infrastructure duties it was no stranger to freight or passenger work, regularly featuring on the summer dated Norwich-Gt Yarmouth legs of services from London, the Midlands and the North East. The Accurascale model replicates the locomotive's late 1980s and early 1990s condition with headboard clips and standard lamp irons and when embellished with 'cockney sparrow' mascot logo and a yellow DCE flash under the secondman's cab windows. 37140 was a late survivor in BR blue, along with East London-based colleagues 37216 and 37219, eventually swapping its 'corporate image' for civil engineer's 'Dutch' in October 1991

I have the green one D6956 and it blows my Lima 37s into the weeds! It has exactly (down to the position of the numbers and letters, must have been a reference shot) the same headcode on one end as a photo I have from 1968 so I'm making the same train - 15 16T grey minerals and a brake van. So smooth running, nearly as good as my Accurascale 66 lol

I did look at this one as well, just not able to afford two at the time, thank you for watching and enjoy your model, I will be getting this one on a layout in the future, with some BR MK 2 coaches.

Get a rolling road! I have 18in of track glued to a piece of wood and set up a rolling road to run my locos in on DC before converting to DCC.
