i am day 2 post op . came home last night . i couldn’t get water down with choking and have been choking a lot on my own mucus . everything want to go back down my esophagus . so they started me on iv steroids . it go better in a bout 5-6 hours . thankfully !! thanks again for all your videos 🙏
I’ve got mine ACDF last 3 days ago! You are right it’s hard to swallow and my whole body was really aching, I’m just hanging in there and thanks for your explanation and tips❤ i will be very careful for now. Hopefully I can get back to normal soon.
Thanks for chiming in. Good luck with the recovery. We have to be super patient with neck fusions (all fusions...I was just cleared for regular activity two days after having my toe fused three months ago). Hang in there, all of it will improve in the coming days and weeks.
Nice! My ortho surgeon is planning to have me in a hard collar for at least the first month, a soft collar for two to four weeks after, and not returning to work for three months... Really not looking forward to that hard collar for so long, especially during sleep.
Thanks for the videos. I'm having these same levels done in about a month. I have severe spinal stenosis at 6&7 as I've put this surgery off for waaayyyyy too long. My surgeon has said I'll be in a collar for 6 weeks. I'm hoping that's just when I'm out & about.
