#acecombat7 #dcs i bought a HOTAS and everything just to be garbage PW Kings Gameplay from Chaos Commentary: • Project wingman “Rem... (this video is dedicated to the brave fighters of DCS)
I second this. If your interested in a headtracker I highly recommend not going the track IR route but instead get a GrassMonkeySim Joseph 2 and Puck. Wireless. Runs off a AA. 3D printed and lightweight(TBH its build quality is miles ahead of track ir) and in the year 2 years of owning it its never failed me. I had 3 track irs fail me before I bought this so.
@@alexparias3566 trackIR build quality is nothing to complain about really.. got mine (trackIR 4) for well over a decade now, still serves me well.. just the pro clip got damaged when i accidentally stepped on it years ago - nothing a little duct tape couldn't fix.. i still might by a new clip one day, but yea - quality is fine.. plus hassle free, easy to use software etc.. i'm not shitting on the "self-made" kit solutions by any means, but at the same time i have to defend trackIR here since i never did regret the purchase for a second.
Hey, i'm not trying to sound patronizing or something, but that really wasn't all that bad for a first time experience! Keep coming for more, and eventually it will all click together.
oh nah mate, its crazy fun im still working out the kinks but next up is maneuvering and energy conservation or whatever all the big dcs youtubers talk about
@@pooooutine ah yes! Energy management. The cornerstone of every maneuvering fight. Or in more plain terms, how and when to trade your airspeed for position, either in turning or in climbing-descending, or most often both! If you are into reading, there is a very good book by the name: "Fighter Combat - Tactics and Maneuvering", by Robert L Shaw. It's like the bible for fans of fighter planes and dogfighting. You don't need to read all of it, just start from some basic ideas and concepts and go from there!
Welcome to DCS, you get the hang of it sooner or later. just fly around and get used to the avionic and flight module, and try to read some of the doc, it do help actually.
You are you just need a sky high, the F-14 is fun you will need a hotas as it has the most button combinations. F-18 and F-16 are easier to learn. F-16 has the easiest button set up TMA up down left right DMS up down left right countermeasures F you hate switch and burt cannon. It’s the block D so it’s the Lockeed and Martin version and is the most modern vs the f18c and 14. You were not using your radar curser on your plane. Dogfight mode gives you a piper to target the fixed wing and you can send flying tubes of hate.
Keep in mind some small tips TWS is the best tracking to be in it allows you to track and independently mark tag and lock, ripple of multiple shots. The F-14 Jester will do that if you tell him to go into TWS and you will see a line then a triangle for hostile IFF a lined triangle for hostile lock and a number when you see multiple numbers it’s party time and you ripple those fox 3 off like a F-15 sending hate from 80km out at 35,000 feet.
@@pooooutine don't let the purists get to you! GR have gotten increasingly better over time, unlike some other DCS creators, that seem to parrot the same thing over and over again, for years. And as long as you are having fun watching them, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Sincerely A 7+ years DCS user.
