I just love how absurdly out of nowhere this whole scene is. We never saw the monster truck before this scene, so it's reveal is unexpected, hilarious and let's you know it's about to go down. It's a deus ex machina done right.
I had thought the same since I was a kid. Then I put two and two together and realized it belonged to the poachers. I think if they gave us a glimpse of the monster truck in the movie prior to this scene it would have made much more sense lol
Jim carry is bipolar, n the 90’s he was funny but he needed to be medicated because people with bipolar tend to be suicidal. I’d rather a less funny breathing jim carrey than a dead jim carrey
I love how he searches all the vehicles for keys and there is just a random monster truck there... which just happens to have the keys in the ignition lol. Love this movie.
@@DarthBiomech too bad Jack Nicholson got the part instead and instead he played The Riddler which he played the character terrible and had a more Joker persona to it
Fun Fact: The monster truck used in this scene was an actual monster truck in real life known as "Push 'N Stomp". The filmmakers repainted it in camo just for this movie.
That scream laugh is something I need to imitate as as kind of psychotic war cry. As for my absolute favorite part of this seen is the moment Ventura gets that roaring grin before ramming the car. It’s like he’s saying “I gotcha bitch” 😂😂😂
The Fire Marshal Bill face came from a sketch they decided not to do. It was called "Make a Death Wish" and showed Carrey as the corpse of a Make a Wish kid on a roller coaster.
Just some trivia for anyone who is curious: The monster truck in this movie was originally known as Push-N-Stomp. It is a 1986 Chevy S-10 which originally had a red and black color scheme with a blue line separating the two colors. For the movie, they painted it to this camouflage you see now.
00:38 i never fail to laugh at how Cadby thinks that everything is going according to plan and then gets cut off by a Monster Truck just the thought of the Monster Truck turning the corner and Blur The Technicolor (White Zombie) make this scene into comedy gold .
I love how, earlier in the film Ace says that due to his spiritual awakening he must show compassion for all the living things of nature. But I wonder how many rare or even undiscovered species were just made extinct by that monster truck.
I doubt if Ace is a vegetarian either, and he will sacrifice animals for the greater good. I'm sure he only took out a few dozen insects, and maybe a Squirrel and or possum or two. Nothing rare or exotic. As loud as that truck was, mostly everything would have scattered long before he got there to Render them into warm liquid goo.
@@aarongreenfield9038 He respects all things of nature so I'm assuming he respects the food chain unlike vegetarians. If you truly love animals, you would eat them, respect the order of things

I can't believe they made Ace Ventura into a Saturday morning cartoon in the '90s. The good old days when every hit movie got its own cartoon and nobody cared if the movie was appropriate for kids or not.
