This L19 is indeed a very impressive flashlight. There are now 2 versions of this L19 in white LED. The L19-V1 has 1300 meters of beam distance with 1650 lumens and has the longest beam distance in white LED. The L19-V2 has 1083 metres beam distance with 2200 lumens and has a wider beam profile and a lot brighter lumens in white LED. The L19-V2 would probably be more useful in everyday usage due to wider beam coverage and very long distances and the power of brighter lumens at 2200. You observations are right on. I'm looking at the L19 V2 as a very long-throw light for night SAR. More to come on that note as we head into colder weather. Thanks for your commentary.
And, here we are nearly a year later and it's still my left-shoulder long-throw light. It's been exposed to temperature extremes and hours of rain and still working great. Thank you.

@@coincrazy9338 I'm trying to get PowerTac to send me one. If memory serves, peak candela is lower than the L19 V2, so it probably won't throw as far and will likely have a narrower beam. If I can get my hands on it, I'll film a comparison. Thanks.
Nice quick review! I bought one ~month ago, right before you convinced me on a Fenix Tac light lol. Ended up with a PD36 so the reflector end fits in my pocket better than the TKs, but the TAC switch lockout is perfect for packing. The L19 is my "truck light" to supplement the PD36 for farm and outdoor safety, similar to your intended use for a long distance loadout. I do a lot of hiking & mountain biking around sundown or later, so having this handy to throw in my bike/hike pack too seemed like a great idea. It's a fantastic light so far! Next on my list is an L35 (hopefully a V2 soon). Hoping to replace both PD36 & L19 with the L35 to save me some weight on the bike and keep the other two in the truck. It would make a good backup bike/helmet light too. Looking forward to the extended review!
Thanks. Truck light is a good use case. The L19 V2 is a bit unwieldy to carry and being front-heavy, I don't quite like the balance on my left shoulder-strap of the pack, but for what the light offers in those special cases, I can probably put up with it. Nothing makes it into the loadout until it survives a SAR training op (or two) at the LBJ Grasslands :). So, waiting for cold weather now ...

If you ever get a chance, you should compare the Acebeam K75 against the L19. At this point, dedicated search and rescue lights really need to be based on the Luminus SBT90.2 LED.
Interesting. Keep us updated on how it performs. Since this was published, I've had the L19V2 out in weather extremes (21F and single-digit wind chill to 97F) and put it through 2 1/2 hours of constant rain exposure. I was filming a rain exposure test of another product, however, so I need to go back and film another L19V2 rain exposure test. Thank you.
