This is the GT3 style wheel plate mod from Acelith to fit the Thrustmaster T300RS wheel. The wheel plate is a steel CNC cut plate with carbon fibre style vinyl, which fits onto the T300RS wheel buttons/shifter unit. It has all the functionality of the original wheel but is half the weight.
The handles come as 3D printed plastic so it was my preference to cover them with suede effect material rather than grip tape.

Ended up here at this video because I'm looking at getting this wheel in the future, and wondering whats the options for a GT style rim. The end result looks quite neat, good job. Tip: try tweaking the audio levels a little bit more, your voice is quite low compared to the music.

Thanks for watching, I'm new to making videos so definitely will learn from it! On the Acelith website there are different styles of wheel and there is an element of customisation. I think they make to order so you can put in your request or there is even a DIY option where you just order the plate and handles with no vinyl etc. Some people add real car graphics to theirs but I liked how it came.

Maybe save more? You should also considering saving and buying a csl direct drive for about 600

Really nice ! Im planning to buy rhese at the end of the summer ! Just a little tip : turn up your voice's volume, we don't hear you ! And at the end of the video don't hesitate to ad more light :D

I want to buy the M-styled GT wheel, but I also want to keep my original wheel to use for drifting. Does anyone know how to purchase just a standard T300 RS GT rim without the base?

You can use a 3d printed adapter to fix your original rim/plate to the base but you won't have any buttons (ok for drifting imo). Acelith doesn't sell it but there are 3d files out there, or they can find it for you

Is it really noticeable the improvement in force feedback due to the lesser weight of this mod? Does it weight less than the official Open wheel TM? Thanks

I bought 2 wheels from them, the last one took over a month to get to the UK. It spent 25 days in a warehouse in northern Italy.

Would you recommend the T300RS? Looking to buy my first steering wheel and thought about buying the G293 but heard troubles with it and no feedback and found the T300RS.

3d printing is junk quality material. Its made to print pro types not items for heavy usage.

@@SIMRIG412 It's a popular theory in the sim racing world that if it's printed it's garbage. I do not agree. Many prints work with direct drive bases in hard conditions and everything is fine. A lot depends on the design. But if you have the opportunity to make or buy something of better materials such as aluminum, carbon or titanium, do not hesitate 😅

If I bought such an overlay and unscrew the steering wheels as in the movie, will I lose my warranty?

Potentially for the wheel itself but not for the wheelbase as you are not opening that up.

Sorry no I don't. You could try Acelith's site to see if they have a version for the P310.

Actually I think they may have made the T300 compatible with ps5 but please check before buying one! I think G29 does work on ps5. Again, please double check
