I used to decided between these two; so I owned the switch 10, it doesn't dissapointment in any way the battery is good enough. the best in this are the different angles that it can get. I wake up while I get my breakfast I can read my news and packed easily to my work

Jason Muñoz Agreed, I found that with the Switch 10 I kept the keyboard attached more often. With the Asus T100 i usually just use it as a tablet and get a case to prop it up.

marcusdoes also remind that asus back part is a fingerprint magneto, the metallic looks on the acer hide better the finger prints. the keyboard feels soft, not as a normal keyboard but not complain

I've owned the Asus and now own the acer. I had the Asus for 2.5 yrs and loved it. except the keyboard failed after a year and never recover. the connection on the acer is imo better. re the charging, I have no issue with the type since it's a small item to bring along. loved the Asus and would have bought it again but the deal on the acer was far better.

Very good review. The biggest factor for me is the ability of the Acer to "switch" the screen forward or backward. This allows you to use it in tent mode or with the keyboard in back so you can tilt the screen further backward for a better viewing angle when you are close to it.

I owned both of them for a while and I must say one thing, T100AM-DK002b is much better than the Acer which was slowlier, buggy and the battery time just wasn't good enough. The T100 has a low resolution screen but it is a better choice anyway in my opinion. Keyboard isn't too soft like the one from Acer.

Nice comparison, but it's more about the exterior impressions of the tablets, something close to an unboxing video. I'd like to see a deeper comparison, with benchmarks, impressions about the touch screen responsiveness, battery tests etc.

The angle keyboard preference needs to be readdressed because the acer was strictly designed when put back a certain amount to complete the same exact angle process.

I took my Acer back then my Asus and now have a Samsung T. I needed something that would allow me to enlarge the pages on the books I read. The Acer didn't have an USB to charge and I didn't like the sound system. The Asus was running as a computer/laptop so no increasing the size of the book pages. These were more like laptops and I have a laptop. You can buy a bluetooth keyboard if you get a Samsung. For me that was the best but might not be for others. I use mine for reading books only and playing word search.

Ive had it with USB Charge ports on tablets...they dont last long with moderate to heavy useage. So on that point alone...id go for the Acer

Having an ordinary charge plug is not a minus for the Acer and here is why. You can use it to charge other devices as phone for example or simply use it as a port when free. There is not difference if you bring with you a usb or ordinary charge - you take it with you anyway unless you use a single charger for several devices. The sound it is not good, but this is not so important as I always use headphones. My only issue is the camera - the image of both cameras is shitty and I don't know if this is a problem or normal?! Any ideas?

I've bougth recently Asus T100 in a sale, and i was confused between both. As i've got an acer aspire V as a laptop, i looked for some tablet or notebook more comfortable to transport. It's clear asus is cheaper than acer, but not better for it. Decide between one It depends of your preference and the use you will going to do. As i prefer a ''tablet''s characteristics i choose Asus.

In Indonesia Acer cost 3700 Asus more 4700 but Acer only z3735 Asus faster 3795 if only Asus price same as Acer 370$ I will definitely chose asus

I was surprised as well, when I plugged in the microUSB to charge the tablet nothing happened. Then I noticed the AC charger in the box after plugging that in, the tablet charged.

Yes I still have the Asus , battery was replaced after 3 years . Easy to do just pop open the back cover.

The Acer's design is more stylish and the sound and brightness are better. It's similar than my laptop altough smaller. So having 2 identical products it is not necessary for me. I think that a warmer screen is more comfortable to be working for a long time. FInally, is very usefull not to wear 2 diferents charger in case of Asus. The microUSB charge is very common to find and cheap to buy if it is broken down. To conclude, It says 'In variety reside richness´.

Hi, I am interested to get Acer switch 10.1 for school work. Iam planning to get 64Gb storage one. I also might need to do my c++ programming with those. do you think is it a good idea to get it? or should I go get Lenovo yoga instead? Thanks for your feedback.

hey this laptops are pretty good for school but if your an engineering/comp sci major i would recomend getting this and build urself a nice desktop at least thats what i did, i do c++ pretty well on this pc and some light autocad works pretty well but i still prefer using my desktop anytime of the day for extensive work

***** Glad you liked the video! Both tablets are around the same speed and have micro SD card slots and USB slots on the tablet and keyboard. The Asus T100 has a slightly better processor although I'm not sure you would really notice any difference in everyday usage.

hello everyone i bought the acer switch 10 a mounth and a half ago and it has already broken twice. firstly there was the wifi that didnt work so i couldnt connect to the internet (it fixed itself all alone in 1 week no idea how) and now the power button doesnt work so i cant turn it on at all. i have a friend who has the same device and acer has changed it three times for her but she still has problems with it. i sincerely advise you not to buy it it's a waste of money and so many headaches....

Just hold the button on for about 15 to 30 seconds it will come on and I had mine for 2 years nothing has gone wrong if the wifi don't work it mite be you wifi or some how you turned it off.

I would take the acer anytime despite its shortcomings because of the looks alone. The asus one is so fugly and cheap-looking that I am willing to sacrifice battery life. The acer looks way more elegant albeit the plastic construction and far from looking like a netbook. The acer's screen is also better IMO which is always a plus. Each his own.

+Yoran E. Jit I had an Asus for 3 years then it suddently stopped working. I tried everything suggested online even buying a new cord. I bought an Acer but will take it back tomorrow for another Asus. I don't like the fact I can't use an USB to charge it so how do I connect it to my desktop? The Acer has more ports but I don't need them all. The speaker on the Acer One 10 is not loud. Mine has Windows 10 which all the newer ones have and I hate it. I would rather have Windows 8 and will try for that. Everyone has different likes/dislikes of each.

+Ahmed samir I didn't get that far with mine. I returned it. See above post. I never tried to open a PDF. I had to have something that allowed the size of the pages to be enlarged. I couldn't do that with either the Acer or the Asus. I bought something without windows on it.

DuhChosen0ne To be honest, I don't think either would be good for intensive HD video editing. These processors are better for simple tasks like MS Offfice. I installed Star Craft 2 on the Asus T100. I had to lower the graphics settings in order to get the game to run. Multiplayer was pretty much unplayable.

hello, thanks for your question...I would suggest the Asus, it is smaller, has a faster processor (good for playing games), and can be charged with a micousb (standard charger for Android/Windows phones).

The Asus battery is rated at about 8000mah and the Acer is rated at around 6000mah, so the Asus should last longer. My Asus lasts for about 5 hours with the screen on full brightness.

DuhChosen0ne I don't think either would be the best for video editing, unless you're doing something very simple. These aren't meant for power users but more for students to take notes, browse the web etc.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep that in mind for my next video. Watching video at 1080p is fine on the Asus T100, no delays if you're just watching youtube but if you're going to multitask and browse the web you'll notice a hit to performance. I no longer have the Acer but I would assume it is the same given the specs.

hallo there, first of all i want to thank you for the -imho- quite useful comparison of the asus t100 and the acer aspire switch 10. but i still have a question about these two which is very important to me.: I know a person who has a neurological disfunction of his fingers. therefore he isn't able to tap on a touchscreen with the top of his fingers but with any other "skin-parts" of his hands. because of that he owns a Lumia 920 smartphone (windows) which gives you the option to set the touchscreen sensitivity on "high". that's very important to him because no other capacitive smartphone touchscreen has this option. No smartphone reacts when he taps with other "hand-parts" on its touchscreen (than with his fingers). Fortunately the Lumia in "high-sensitivity mode" does react when he taps on its screen with other parts of his hands. So my question is: Do the asus t100 and/or the acer aspire switch have this option/setting to set the touchscreen-sensitivity on "high"? my friend couldn't use these devices when he is "forced" to use the touchscreens with the top of his fingers :/ We would be thankful for your answer!

Thanks ! I'm sorry to hear about your friend's challenges with touch screens... I ran through the menu's of the Asus T100 (I no longer have the Acer) unfortunately I don't see any options to increase the screen sensitivity. From experience, I would say that the Asus has a more sensitive screen. When I'm cooking and have dirty hands, I've been able to use my knuckles of my hands/fingers to scroll web pages and select video on the Asus. Hopefully that helps!

Hi Nikki, yes they're both around the same price which was around $379 Canadian at the time I made the video. Both laptops should also be able to print using wifi or a USB cable to the printer.

You can but since it only has 2gb of ram you'd be limited in what u can do in Photoshop. It would be better to use Photoshop cloud.

Victor Carlos Toledo they should work fine for simple to moderate Excel tasks. I wouldn't use it for large spreadsheets with complex formulas and macros

Adam Evans The keyboards of both Acer and Asus are about the same size. For larger hands you might like the layout of the Acer a bit more

that would be a little harder to give you an unbiased answer. I haven't done a lot of research into this space, but if price isn't an issue, the Microsoft Surface Book or the Surface Pro 4 might be best for your graphics needs. Both have high res touch screens designed to work with a stylus, and are powerful enough for photoshop/illustrator.

Это у вас там войны планшетов, а у нас кактой достал подешевле такой и будет, но не зависимо от того будет это Асус т100 или Асер Свич все абсолютно одинаково нуждаются в защите. А так как оба они с клавиатурами и лучше пусть оно будет всегда в куче, поэтому лучше брать чехол который натягиевается на обе части на планшет и докстанцию Вот чехол на Asus T100 cozy.com.ua/category/T100TA, а вот и чехол для Acer Switch 10 cozy.com.ua/category/aspire-switch-10

+Drexel Alunday I owned the Acer for 10 months and two weeks ago I bought a second hand Asus.,So far I like the Asus better. The Acer had a much brighter screen with more vivid colours and the various display modes (tent mode etc.) were very handy to watch a movie. But the Asus is more reliable, has much better battery life and has a better keyboard. Go for the new Asus T100ha with 14 hours battery life, ssd storage and a new cherry trail processor.
