I seen a hand like that go down at my local pub game, 5 way all in on the turn, AdKdQs board, guy bets woman calls other guy raises then the 2 behind jam, first guy snaps and the woman snap calls, to the turn of Qd, still action between the woman and the second caller, the woman goes all in the second guy calls, everyone tables their hand, first guy has KK, woman has AA, next guy has J10 off, the first guy who shoved on the flop has QQ and the last guy had the royal with J,10dd, I am nowhere near capable enough to do the math on the statistical probability of that occurring but it’s surely astronomically low, probably several trillion to one lmao, the guy with the quad queens won a small bad beat jackpot for £100 (it’s a $10 MTT structure usually 2-3 tables) and they’re all OMCs so everyone limped in PF trying to be tricky 😂😂

Pretty epic for sure. Reminds me of that Sammy Farha hand against Oliver Hudson. VERY first hand of the Main event. Farha had ace10 and Hudson had 1010. Flop came ace ace ten. Absolutely soul crushing. I might have shit my pants if I were Hudson. Said something like Fuck this game, I'm never playing this shit ever again. Lol

I was in the Amazon room when this hand went down. Was dealing a different tournament in the outer tables. The crowd reaction to this was electric, and I knew something crazy had happened.

Yeah.. dude named modayuki mabuchi or some shit hit quad aces and I believe the dudes name was Justin Phillips that hit the royal. Mabuchi shoved his stack all in the middle in a horrible "splash the pot" kind of way. He was so sure he had the winning hand he didn't even see the possibility of a royal. Lmao. Didn't matter he splashed it because he lost, and Phillips had him covered, but it could have cost him chips if he had won for splashing the pot. Back in the day when amateurs still flooded the game and had no idea about how to play or etiquette. Especially playing at a casino.

+Cdub2k QT is a straight, with full houses on the board. Pocket kings would have gotten there, but if he had pocket kings, this river probably wouldn't have happened due to the low odds.

+JimManlove not any casino I've ever played at. to qualify for a bad beat jackpot you have to loose with quads or better to qualify. I've never seen a casino include houses in that. if you find one please send me the link to their site as proof lol

spac3m0nkey I play at bicycle casino and commerce casino every week in los angeles. You have to lose with Aces full of tens or better to quads and your kicker has to beat the board. I won a table share just last night at commerce when it happened actually.

Also what strength tells. Easy when you can see the cards, not so easy when you see the other players and the look just about the same as they always do. That's how live games are. It's not a game of tells but styles, reads, insticts, image, and bets.

This reminds me of Casino Royale 2006, where Le Chiffre made quad jacks. Only that Nguyen's AA would beat Bond's AK, as well as KK not being the nuts because of the Royal Flush potential on the river

Haven't heard anything about Merson in like 2 years. I know he suffers from a hereditary disease, and took some time off for that. Also overcame drug addiction in the past. I guess if I won the Main Event I would probably take some time off. Pretty sick hand for sure, straight up nastiness.

You can't have a set vs quads in Texas hold 'em, you can have quads vs a full house. Unless the person with the set is just playing the table and the other guy has the case card for the quads.
