After recieving a kidney transplant in 2019 my wife and I decided to full fill a dream and move to France from Australia, covid hit world went crazy fighting for toilet paper. I eventually found your site and are living the dream through you and your team, I'm going through cancer treatment now and heading for palliative care, my point is you and the boys bring me so much joy and excitement, I live your achievements and feel one of the team. Thanyou for bringing me along for the ride, be safe, I will be watching as long as this vessel allows. Thanks mate cheers ( in a aussie accent of course)
Don’t ever apologize for resting on the job. One can make a lot of mistakes by being overly tired. Safety, above all. Terrific work all around. Going into fall and the days will be getting shorter and cooler. Something to look forward to. Enjoy your time off.
He usually gets them out around 3 pm my time. I kept checking all the way until 5 pm and nothing. I went out with my wife and I got back around 9pm and finally it was there.
So grateful to Nic for keeping Dan safe. These three guys are amazing to watch. So organized, capable and fearless. I’m very happy for Dan to see this amazing milestone happen. A dream coming true. Good on ya!
The grand old lady is getting all prettied up. It makes my heart happy to see her coming back to all her beauty. Thank you for giving her back her glory.
Been waiting patiently, ok somewhat impatiently, for an update. Now I'm getting concerned for your team because you have been working up on that high roof! Praying for safety for your team.
@fotter9567 Don’t care, I’m a 66 year old woman, I have the right to say what I want. Men built this world, fought and died in the wars and are the innovators of most new inventions. That takes nothing away from what women bring to the table. Don’t get bent out of shape because someone believes something different from you. You probably thought I was a man and fair game. 😂
@@simonmackenzie6230 Thank you Simon, that was exactly my sentiment. Shame there are so many fragile people, with no sense of humour and a need to criticise anyone who doesn’t think as they do. I spent over 40 years as a mental health nurse and saw less delusional people in hospital than I see now in public and on social media. 🤣
The new mason came up with a better idea for the blend to seal the edge I see. I hope to see him do some of the work you do not enjoy with masonry. Looks like he does a great job
I find it so interesting the number of viewers that take the time to question Dan's whereabouts and the status of the next video but weren't invested enough to watch the last one.
I've watched all the videos but I've never commented before, but after this video I just had to say WOW! Such a simple word for such a fantastic achievement
When it’s your wedding day and the wife sees the notification well it would be rude not to watch. Who else can say they watched Dan on their wedding day. 🎉
Can see why this video took a few days - you guys are doing monumental work! The stress was well handled but could tell it was higher by the quips per minute count being down. Enjoy your rest, all three of you.
Dan, when you first bought the Chateau I couldn’t for the life of me see how you were going to bring her back to life. I, and clearly many others, am blown away by your determination, hard work, and, the incredible team that you’ve brought together! Bravo, what an achievement x
Nick, The Tree Surgeon is a true Forester who knows and shows the skills and safety on the highest roofing work with ropes, tools, etc. God bless you men!!! 😊
Have you thought about what type of tiles you will use? You need to hire this guy to help rebuild the tower and any other masonry...he's so fast and what a terrific job!
Take a week. Hell, take two. We will all be here for you when you return. Just as the ruins of the chateau stood for decades awaiting you, Dan. We as the audience will have our utmost patience with you. Take all the time you need...You deserve it. Much love from Austin, Texas!
Unbelievable men! What an incredible challenge. The Château is almost completely roofed. Well deserved time off. Have fun with your boys and see you in a week.
While I'm bummed we won't see the incredible progress for another week, I love that your priorities are with your boys. Have a brilliant holiday with them!
I'm flipping with this project, I think this is the most beautiful project I've ever seen in RU-vid. I can't stop to watch all the videos. Congratulations guys! You're awesome! ❤
Seeing that complete rear roof was so amazing. Looking back at the beginning, the place they are now looked so imposable. Amazing things can be done with hard work and great friends.
Right? I don't know how many times I've clutched my heart when seeing the dangerous but fasinating rebuilding of this Chateau, (I hate heights and have felt physically sick in some video's, but feel compelled to watch lol!). Thank God Nick is in charge of the ropes! Brian and Dan are fearless!
The new stone wall is a thing of beauty! Seeing the cladding go on this section of roof so quickly I think back to when Nick was teaching Dan how to handle the harness and ropes. Meanwhile Brian is just hopscotching across the structure! What progress. What excitement.
Saw the stonework and thought 'that is a thing of beauty'. Well done. You certainly deserve a week with your boys to celebrate the roof giving shape.🎉🎉
Oh goodness, found myself shedding tears of joy, relief and amazement. Congratulations Team. The young man has made a beautiful job of the stone wall. Enjoy your break.
Worked in stone all my life. The stone masons work is realy good. A good find Dan. He will be a God send as you attack the fidly bits on and around the roofs and turret. Good luck. Stephen
I agree, the mason is extremely good at his work. Hire the man Dan to fix all the wall issues. You stated many time how much you hated doing it. In addition, hiring him to finish the wall repairs will free you up to finish the rest of the roof so you can make it waterproof before winter hits. Think about it, it's a smart play. Have a nice time with your boys! Cheerio!
Watching the progress here on this channel is something I really look forward to. Thanks for taking the time to bring us along on your amazing adventure!
Those drone shots at the end, that was so, so satisfying. Wow, we knew how big the frame looked compared to everything else so far. But seeing it clad, and seeing the full silhouette is something else! Of course, going back to the videos with the picture of the old roof, there is no mistaking that silhouette. Chaumont is getting ever so slowly closer to all healed up, thanks for taking care of the place so much!
What a sense of accomplishment you all must feel. I don't even know you and have never been to your chateau and even I got a little choked up when I saw the drone shot of the roof line, done, majestic and so damn high!
All the work is looking beautiful. The masonry wall is beautiful!! Best of all: Jack and Thomas have a week to play with their dad. All three of you deserve it. Thank you. Have a great time!!❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉😊
The complexities of the roofs, with all their peaks and troughs, are amazing! So much thought and calculation went into them, and then the three of you made it look logical, easy peasy!
A well-deserved week off. I hope you and the boys have an amazing time together. Congratulations to all three of you, as well as the new mason -- what a huge milestone!
9:31 9:43 shows the grand scale of the mansard roof ! We've all watched and waited for this section to reseal the structure from the elements! Way to go!
The house is gettings it's shape, and somehow, it's dignity back. It really start to look like the grand building it once was. You have been doing an amazing job, and well deserve a week of vacation!
Man! That was so satisfying to see the cladding go on in one video. That room is massive. With my morbid fear of heights I'm always relieved to see the safety belt-ropes going on. Well done lads. What a huge push to get that massive structure finished. Enjoy a much deserved week break.
Outstanding progress on the roof and also the basement wall. I get so involved in this rebuild I get withdrawal if I don't get my daily vlog. LOL But I also realize how difficult it must be to work there plus juggle family responsibilities. Love it love it love it.
Wow, absolutely gorgeous, the guy doing the wall in the basement is doing an awesome job. And he is quick. Have a wonderful time with your boy's. Everyone be safe 🙏 always.
