Poor Nick, he only came to cut a few trees down, now he's a landscaper, structural engineer, welder, labourer, digger driver, amongst other things.

That crank elevator thing and Nick have been worth their weight in gold, diamonds, platinum,etc.

“While we have the welder here” nearly fell off my chair laughing! While we have the arborist, while we have the woodsman, while we have the expert plant operator, while we have the rigger and dogman, while we have the abseiler, while we have the labourer, while we have superman……Nick. The man, the legend.

When I left school I worked for a firm that did antique and heritage property restoration. My boss bought a very old schoolhouse and together, over the course of a year, we restored it. By the end of that experience I had learned so many new skills that set me up for a life of interesting work. Well done guys, keep it up.

This is the most remarkable renovation series on the internet. You took a shell that was in crumbles and worked it back to life. Amazing Dan and Nick! I bet it will be magnificent when you complete the interior.

I hope Nick has his own bedroom or maybe even suite in the renovated chateau. He certainly deserves it.

I am still beyond grateful that Nick is involved in your life and is such a dear friend that he is there to support you whether it be gardening or lifting I beams up onto a new level for you, he's an absolute treasure. You both are absolute treasures! I have a suggestion, whenever you start building your rooms, you know the French always named their rooms... please name one after Nick in French in his honor.

I wouldn't say poor Nick at all. Nick is happy to work he is one of those guys that it keeps him going. There's is nothing better than being able to see the fruits of your labour after a long days work. I bet he is enjoying every minute!

I looked back at a video taken about a year ago, you were walking around a ruin. In another year, you'll be all floored and roofed in. Maybe even windowed. Looks like that 5 year plan is a reality. Amazing.

When you find a man of many trades who does them well and with integrity, celebrate! Give them the respect they deserve and pay them well. I’m currently working with such a craftsman and honestly I’d pay him whatever he wanted. His work is that good. It’s my fervent hope that these older stellar craftsmen are finding a way to pass on their skills to young ones. What would we do without them?
