I’m 60 and had a vintage setup back in the early 90’s. I sold all that stuff in the early 2000’s. Now I’m back at it with the great Behringer gear. What is that mixer you’re using? I don’t think my iPad mini can run that program. I’ll need to check. Great vibe. I play Hammond organ and guitar for 50 yrs. You got the beats down.
So I've got the TD-3 and RD-6. A local shop has another used TD-3 on sale for under $100 and I've been wondering if my next steps should be to pick that up along with an MS-1. This video just answered that question for me. YES. God, it's so much fun geeking out and writing acid music.

Can you split the sync out signal from the RD6? Was thinking of using one of those little five way star splitters. Sync out into one of those and then just send two of the outputs into each sync in on the Td-3. Or should I just use midi?

hey how do you sync the timing on it all? I have novation sl49 mk3 keyboard and a neutron, moog werkstatt, and use Ableton but when you go dawless how do you sync all the timing. great video by the way.

Hi, I use a Behringer UMC1820 and in this video the sound card is connected via usb lighting adapter to the ipad pro. All input goes inside to the AUM app mixer in the ipad. Nothing else. I use the umc like a mixer
This set is quality, the sounds you get from them machines are awesome! I'd love to create something similar but with the Crave instead of the MS1. Also, are your effects on the midi controller coming from a DAW? I'm kinda new to this and trying to figure it out, thanks!
Merry xmas Alex , i see only one USB cable in the Akai midi , where are all the wires going from the different machines before they go into that , do u have a box they are all going into first , then just one wire coming out into the Akai?
The Akai is connected via usb hub to Ipad and also the ipad is connected to Behringer UMC1820 sound card. Inside ipad run AUM mixer where i can control the volume and fxs

I use a Behringer umc1820 and is connected via usb to iPad and AUM app ( digital audio mixer ), all the RD6 out goes inside the umc1820 and in this way I can control every single channel.
Not necessarily nicer but does a job well. I remember the days when you needed thousands to make this stuff as the only real option was overpriced Roland relics, glad we've moved on.
@@maccagrabme Just something not there about the RD-8 for me. I can’t believe I’ve resisted buying one but every demo I’ve heard makes me feel there’s something odd about the sound. I hope the RD-8 II is better, I’ll be giving it a try this time. Yeah, it’s great to have so much cheap gear now.
@@ukyoner yes Sir! All instruments go inside the Behringer UMC1820 and in the Ipad runs AUM app and akai midimix control Volumes and fx sends midi learn mapped with AUM
It took me a few seconds to realize your hardware list doesn't reflect the final sound - you're running an IPad (Or something alike) to do additional FX that is not mentioned in the title / description...
Just came across your channel as I've just bought a RD-6 today and looking how to get the sound back on i hope I've not set it back to factory reset. Or can you not lose what's built in? Great work you got a new supporter from Manchester 😉👍🎹🎚🎛🎹
