And a woman gets arrested because she tapped on a cops window after he cut her off in traffic with no turn signal. He was in a rush to get to McDonald's to talk with his buddy...it's insane that cops pretty much have to execute people on video to face any kind of punishments

It's remarkable. Cops can do "no knock warrants" (and get the wrong address) or not announce themselves while breeching a home. The homeowner thinking they are being attacked (usually these things are late at night when people are sleeping) end up shooting a cop or at a cop. They get into legal trouble while cops that make deadly (or potentially deadly) mistakes they just get fired at best.

I was a police officer until 2015. I had to quit because none of the things I were seeing that were going to become problems were addressed. I would point stuff out, write other officers up, and nothing was _ever_ done about it, if something was, it was usually me getting a verbal warning to not cause problems. What is happening in the US is what happens when people stop giving a damn. If the justice system truly doesn’t care anymore, why should it’s citizens be expected to abide by it? If the police officers aren’t held accountable and allowed to just walk away, what does that say about the kind of society we live in? When I joined up in the late 90’s I was told, the entire department was told that we were to be held to a higher standard _because_ we were cops, not _exempt_ from any and all standards.

@@leechowning2712the issue I have with that phrase is that we never would apply it to anything else. I’m sure you wouldn’t have the same view on a few black criminals right? Whenever Hamas does something, everyone’s like “We’ll that’s only a a part of Palestine”, or when Russia attacks, everyone says “Remember guys, not ALL Russians want the war to happen”. No, the problem is that police in this country are trained to be emotionless animals. They are trained that if they feel threatened in ANY WAY, shoot first, worry later. And it's not even that they shoot to wound someone anymore, they just go for the kill shot now and don't give two shits anymore. Police training in this country is a sorry excuse, and has been for decades now. Not to mention the power dynamic that police feel they have over the "normal" population is unreal at this point. They are supposed to protect and serve, not control and kill. We pay their salaries, but some of us have to be afraid to even get pulled over by a cop these days.

@@chrisfuller2069 Duh, of course he's not going to get 40 years, first of all he's a cop. Stop playing stupid like you don't know they get less time than the average citizen when they are on duty. 🙄 Second of all there is no crime that he's going to be charged with because technically he can't be charged for murder 1, this is an attempted homicide because he knew his actions could potentially fatally kill that man, but I guess you're going to find some way to excuse that also right mr. cop apologist? Just come out of the race solider closet already, we already know the type of guys who are online defending this idiocy.
@chrisfuller2069
@chrisfuller2069 4 месяца назад
@@LukaDonesnitch so you don't understand how intent plays a role in such cases, legally. You claim he should face attempted homicide. First of all, there is a federally mandated maximum sentence on attempted murder (homicide), and your 40 year wish is way off. "Except as provided in section 113 of this title, whoever, within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States, attempts to commit murder or manslaughter, shall, for an attempt to commit murder be imprisoned not more than twenty years or fined under this title, or both, and for an attempt to commit manslaughter be imprisoned not more than seven years or fined under this title, or both." Second, homicide/murder requires a motive, intent. You haven't even speculated on what motive the (ex) cop would have for wanting to murder that man. "...but I guess you're going to find some way to excuse that also right mr. cop apologist?" God forbid we actually follow the actual rules of law when we are complaining about a cop not having to face the rules of law. If he had shot and killed the man, he would have been facing negligent homicide, again unless a motive is proven that he pre-determined to murder the man. No offense, but your understanding of our laws is cartoon-like.
@LukaDonesnitch
@LukaDonesnitch 4 месяца назад
@@chrisfuller2069 So you don't understand the dictionary term for a homicide, and you decide to write a six paragraph reply? Attempted murder and homicide isn't the same thing. Since you can't read I said if it was me or the other guy we would get first (which in certain states is 40 years) degree murder, (the courts won't care if we thought an acorn was a bullet) see you don't listen and you just rush to hit the reply button and it shows. 25 to 40 is for possibility of parole it's not way off. "God forbid we actually follow the actual rules of law" Except the "rules" are usually never the same because a civilian doesn't get the benefit of being on duty when sending someone to the upper room, see how your statement isn't the same? "No offense, but your understanding of our laws is cartoon-like." Just because you make a claim doesn't mean it's correct, please show how my understanding is cartoon-like? And try to do it without using the definition of Murder 1 which I already told you he isn't going to get charged for since we all know you have to prove he or she *Intended* to redrum this guy?

Here's the issue Blokes. America has become a violent place toward police due to illegal migrants and criminals from the left wing. Several police officers have been killed over the past year. Several states have a stand your ground law. Which means if you are in fear for your life you can use lethal force for self defense. As for the guy in the car he can do very little since he wasn't shot and the fact evidence was shown he owns a suppressed firearm. Hence there was no wrong doing and the officers were cleared. One thing that gets me, and I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure police vehicles have bulletproof panels in the doors and bulletproof windows. So even if someone shot from the inside, the bullet likely wouldn’t travel outside of the vehicle.. on top of that, opening fire on the car would be useless bc the bullet wouldn’t enter the vehicle, which is likely what saved the suspect..

Anyone who has been in the back of a cop car knows that there's no way you can get to the front or trunk section when you're in the back. That might be the most incompetent cop duo I've ever seen. I hope the female officer was at the very least demoted to a desk job because she shouldn't be allowed on the streets acting like that.
@kennwashi4093
@kennwashi4093 4 месяца назад
IMO, the two officers are not solely to blame for the blunders, I also criticize the poor training they received before becoming officers. Most US Sheriff's Departments train their officers to react accordingly to such situations to prevent innocent bystanders from being injured or killed. There was no disciplined reaction from the two officers, they allowed their adrenaline to undermine any training they supposedly had. Most police vehicles are made to withstand normal gunfire, even if the shooting is coming from the inside of the vehicle. They should've hesitated to fire their weapons, found some cover, and let their emotions settle to rational levels so they could better deal with the issue. Humans are a curious species. When multiple officers are outside a suburban residence, and questioning the occupants who dwell there, it's considered normal for the neighborhood locals to come out and see the commotion. Also in this digital phone age, bystanders are more prone to place themselves in the middle of the situation and video stream any racial mishaps from the officers. I just thank God that no one came out to the street with their heads filled with curiosity and a video phone in their hands, because these two officers blatantly pulled out their weapons and blindly started shooting until the magazines were emptied. A lot of deaths and injuries were averted just by pure chance.

Police in the US have "qualified immunity" so they're not impeded in their jobs, like shooting unarmed people, so they get 3 days off without pay instead of jail time like an average person. The SIG 320 holds 17 rounds in the magazine standard. The SIG 320 Compact (which is probably what the female sergeant was armed with) holds 15 rounds, but since she's not concealing it, she probably had 17 round magazines, too. So if they both emptied one magazine into the car, they fired 34 rounds.

8:44 the suspect was wielding a suppressed (silenced) hand gun in the picture he sent to his girlfriend. Makes the cop's reaction barely more understandable but regardless, the officer has no business wearing a badge.

No, they searched him before putting him in the car. So no, not understandable

@@willquoikapor Wilder things have happened. Not excusable...but the fact that a suppressed weapon was in question, makes slightly more sense as to why the officer fucked up. Doesn't excuse the fuck up...but gives better insight as to how the fuck up occurred.

There's no way a nut bouncing on a car sounds like a suppressed firearm. That's just the officer grasping at straws to try to justify himself after the fact.

Shooting a gun at somebody because you "think" something, rather that waiting until you "know", by definition means you shot without knowing anything except your idea about what's going on based on the sound of an acorn and nothing else. Any cop who starts shooting before knowing they are under threat should not be on the force. It reminds me of the stupid cop who shot the lady who had called police about a possible assault. He pulls up to the scene, and when the caller approaches the cops car to talk to him, he shoots her for no reason except his own unfounded fear. He "thought" he was in danger from an unarmed lady approaching his car. I think he's in prison now, convicted of criminal stupidity.

So right there it's understandable thanks to the first cop, the situation has become real for her, and having to put down covers fire or quickly trying to eliminate the beliefs threat, to protect her believe shot partner even though she almost shot him as well, lol.*

It's not understandable. She should be charged for discharging a firearm and attempted murder. She had no clue what she was firing at. If you don't know what you're firing at and can't see a threat you have no business firing rounds, no matter what is happening around you. What if she had killed that man? Would that be justified? Who gets charged in that instance? What if one cop can see a bad guy from his vantage point and starts firing his weapon and another cops can only see the innocent guy trying to get out of the way and they start firing and kill the innocent person? It's happened before. Firing blindly just because others are doing it is careless and irresponsible behavior and should be punished MORE than the original shooter. At least he sort of had a reason to start firing, no matter how ridiculous and unhinged it was.

@@TruthHurts2u Not only that but her partner was almost directly in front of her when she starts firing. Ok, its a sudden high stress situation.. but don't they train for that? It's a major public safety hazard to have cops that are so easily spooked and give in to blind panic.
