The whole Blue Mediterranean line is super underrated (as is the house as a whole really), especially with the prices you can find them online. Fantastic stuff. 🙌🏻
This is by far my absolute favorite from the Blue line. Why, because it’s the only one I own and it’s the only one I’ve ever smelled. Picked up a 150ml bottle at a rack star for at a Rack Store for around $35.
I have yet to find an Acqua Di Parma that I don’t like? No I have not. Chinotto di Liguria is about the best! But I also fell in love with Fico di Amalfi and Arancia di Capri years ago. The Blu Mediterraneo line is just amazing. Colonia Futura and Colonia Oud are spectacular from the main line.
I don't like the idea that many people in the fragrance community have that the more sophisticated or mature a scent is the less appealing it should be. 😂
Mature fragrances smell old. Nobody wants to SMELL old. That's why I avoid Rose fragrances. Own maybe 2 Rose fragrances out of my 100+ bottle collection
Loved the review, also because I love this brand (I own Colonia Essenza and I find It to be incredible). Just One thing: the Word "Arancia" is pronounced "Aran" (Just the way you Say It) "cha" (like "chalk" "Chocolate" "Chinese").
I've tried a couple of these Blue Mediterranean fragrances, like Mirto di Panarea, Bergamotto di Calabria, and Fico di Amalfi, and they all smell really nice. They are super easy to wear summer scents. I've always been interested in this one, it is often spoken highly of by critics like Persolaise.
Great review. Although we really have raised the bar for that 'cheap' label lately haven't we? 😆 Seriously though, that is a good deal for an AdP and about the range I got all of my testers for. Glad there are still brands out there that continue to dodge hype and subsequently haven't gone cuckoo with their prices. Let's try to keep it that way. 🐦
@@wakeinthecity9 True say. Back in the day, clones were ok for $20, but now they're more than double and hype has actually increased? 🤪 Relativity I guess.
It maybe odd or ironic but it's why i love this ADP. It's nice but no "wow factor". I don't always want compliments or big attention. Sometimes I just want to smell good while doing small errands in the summer.
I’ve sampled so many Acqua đi Parma’s, amazing as they are. I still haven’t pulled the trigger on a bottle since, there are so many better scents lined up in my list
I'm a big Acqua Di Parma fan. Unfortunately Chinotto was delisted early in 2023. It's no longer available from the brand's website. But some retailers and online sources are clearing remaining stock. Vaniglia and Sandolo have also been delisted recently.
I bought the big bottle right after this video. It's so good, I gave a decant to my son and one to my brother. This will be used heavily this summer!!!
I have the body cream version of this and I find the smell stinky. It gets a bit better over time but it smells quite “old lady” due to the heavy use of floral notes.
Ha. I literally just blind bought this, and... not sure I'm a fan. It certainly has that AdP DNA, but the chinotto note is not what I expected -- I get watery Coca-Cola. Then a bunch of rather feminine florals. And the performance is actually pretty poor even by Blu Med standards. But I'm waiting for a really hot day. Maybe it will shine then! My all-time favorite from the line is Essenza, followed by the OG Colonia. I also like the Oud, but I liked it a lot better when it was Oud Colonia Intensa. If Michael Edwards' site is correct, they are different as Francois Demachy did the Oud Colonia and Francis Kurkdijan did the current one.
There’s a couple of 150ml bottles online for 60-70 quid at the moment, and I’ve seen them even less than that many times, especially second hand. I’ve seen them as low as 40... 👍🏻
Dude you cant get Aqua De Parma in the UK for less then £1 per ml so like 90ml is nearly £100. I LOVE their stuff coz it all smells so HQ and natural nothing syenthetic. I found Fico De Almafi in london at a. TKMax for £57 and jumped for joy! One of the best smells ive ever smelled. Sparkling citrus blossoms and juicey. Fresh, creamy Fig and jasmin petals.... smells like heaven! I agree ablut the dry down/longesvity. Wish it smelled like that all day!
just because it is cheap in your place it is cheap in other place or country for that matter, 50~60$ mark price range IS expensive in other countries, it is sad but it is what it is, that is the reality, Acqua di Parma is really good but cheap price? nah I wouldn't say cheap
