Taken me an entire week too find a video that explained everything perfectly. Had a pretty gnarly mx crash. Slid on my Acromion and head for a good couple meters. thank you
Best video I´ve come across so far, I have a 3rd degree separation. Remember, never use the front brake on your road bike... UPDATE - 2 years later, my shoulder is still broken, BUT I regained full mobility of my right arm. I am happily practicing my muay thai again, I can hit the heavy bag and the pads. (Although I have to crack my shoulder a bit sometimes)
@@priyanthalakmal7800 I think so far I am not going into surgery, , almost no pain at all now, I regained mobility, although I have to see a doctor again. I might have the joint still separated. I couldn rest and stop moving the arm, and that might have caused it to not "solder" yet
@@Guitarraeficaztutorialesytabs helloo.please how can i contact u..i want talk with some medicle idea to u..my doctor says u want surgery another doctor says u dont need surgery..i would like share my x ray with you
By far the best video I have found on the subject. It's too bad it took dozens of other videos and an entire week for RU-vid to finally suggested to me.
Just had a type 4 playing rugby thank you so much for the help this really got me to understand I have surgery today and I wasn’t too sure what they were going to do
How do you scan for this? Is a xray or mri? I played a footy carnival couple weeks back, my shoulder is still sore plus I have a lumpy bone on top of my shoulder..the pain is OK but hurts when I'm sleeping and when I move it in certain positions.. I'm 47 so probably not keen to get surgery just for the sake of rugby but would like to get back to some exercise..
You didn't just made a video.. you made my life. 👍 Because I need to work hard in future for my success....this video gave me a hope and strength which is equal to height the Everest...I think I'm type 2 I have checked my x-ray... 😊 Before this video I don't have much knowledge regarding Ortho.. especially this acromioclavicular ligament..you made my day and gave hope on my future... Thank you so much sir..✓
I'm either stage two or three. I have a deformed bone protruding on my right shoulder. The pain has subsided over the last couple of weeks. Got to go back to the hospital on Monday. However, I'm perplexed that the Emergency Room Doctor didn't even give me a descriptive diagnosis of my AC injury. This video nailed it. Pun not intended 😅.
SGM Plastering & Preservation i fucked myself up lifting n i think i got type one cuz i sure as hell didnt get crushed or hit anything to dislodge anything lol. But still its been like 3 weeks n it still hurts
Had one collarbone 'disappear' from view years ago after hitting the ground playing sports. Took months to reappear and has never quite been the same. Local GP said I was just not symmetrical! Gave up on getting treatment after that!.
Ah man I had a mountain biking accident and broke my back and did this to my shoulder, my back is fine now lmao but my shoulder has a permanent deformity of a high clavicle, I suffer no pain really and have good range of movement. Would I still be able to play rugby after its healed
I throw a football, I was 17 now I’m 23 & still never got it checked out. Definitely hear a pop! Ones the football was thrown I lost all feelings weaknesses at the age of 17. I can feel move my arm. But getting tired of lifting & I can’t!!! Guess it’s time for an X-Ray.
Thought I dislocated my shoulder but the more research I do the more I suspect it's my clavicle dislocated from my shoulder. I suspect I have the type 2. I will visit a doctor this weekend to get it looked at
I just had this done last night had next to no pain but realized in the bathroom I had a bump on my shoulder and I knew it was from my fall so should I get it checked??
I’m assuming I have type 1 or 2. The hospital, Johns Hopkins Hospital (one of the best), said they couldn’t see anything wrong. My clavicle pokes out the top of my shoulder. I did the exercises they recommended and mostly everything seems ok. There’s some bumping of internals in there when I rotate my shoulder but I am mostly back to normal with minimal pain. But I can trace my clavicle to the point it protrudes and my other shoulder since the fall is still at its normal shape and size so I know for sure something moved. I was in a sling for a little while but I was confused at how they X rated me and didn’t see anything when visually, you can see it and with your hands you can feel it.
3 years ago the same things happened to me..its type 1 or 2 i did MRI scan and X-ray which didn't find anything wrong. But its pain a lots in my back of the shoulder . I am a technical person i have to work hard and sometimes also have to lift machine parts , that particular time i don't feel pain but after 1 day the pain increased and i unable to do work for a while ... Presently in last 5 days its paining continues . I don't know what to do..😞😞😞😞
@@zachrobert6657 hello there, sir. i'd like to ask if your clavicle is already healed by now? if yes, i'd like to know if how long does it take for it to heal and did your clavicle went back on its default position? thankyou for ur kind response.
Could this injury be from incline dumbbell flies? About a week ago I had my arm too high and at the bottom felt a pop in my shoulder and a vibration in my collar bone. Since then there has been pain off and on throughout the day localized in that spot and if I reach overhead the last 15 degrees or so causes popping and crunching in my shoulder.
Im in the same situation. I may have done over weights on shoulder pressing. I noticed a bump on both of my shoudlers. No pain but have the deformed Ac joint separation is what im assuming. Hesitant if I should visit the doctor.
@@skygrey5921 for me it was painful and I couldn’t raise my arm all the way or sleep on that side. Went to the doc they did X-rays and ultrasound. No deformation or misalignment of AC joint for me but there was swelling and pain with certain motions that wouldn’t go away. Doc sent me to physiotherapist that helped. I likely sprained a ligament. 2 years later seems fine now.
I am not sure I have this injury at all, I could just have some sort of defect at birth, but these are my symptoms. (right side)My clavicle is high and there is pain when I hold my shoulder in certain ways. My trapizius mucsle is underdeveloped despite training both sides evenly evenly. My left shoulder is broader then my right as well. My left side has continuous tendonitis.
I have had this injury for over a year and a half as a result of a fall with my arm outstretched! I recently got an xray and got diagnosed with a type 2 separation! I wanna get back into weightlifting but can't do most exercises. Should I get surgery at this rate? Is it possible it was a higher type than healed down?
I am in the same situation as you. I did mine about 7 months ago and its still hard to do certain exercices in the gym (type 2) I am now consulting different doctors to see if Im better off getting the surgery to really go back to extreme sports and weightlifting. Everytime I lift, its cracks and theres no way I can benchpress. Also, there is a loud clicking sound when I press on it. Very annoying!
@@Yiha94 Hi nick, I have a grade 3 injury and the most annoying part is the inability to go back to the gym and do heavy weights as you would earlier do. I have lost all my gains and desperate to join the gym again but my shoulder just doesn't allow me to.
@@virajnathani6463 Now that it's been around 4 years, my advice would be listen to your physio (get a good one) and don't rush things! You will get back at it I hope! Cheers
@@Yiha94 hey can I know your Instagram I'd or something I'm suffering from the same problem I would really want your suggestion and have a conversation please do reply :)
@@MrByfka yeah! Was doing Brazilian jiu-jitsu a lot just before covid (in the UK) and weightlifting. Still very active at the moment despite lockdown. Actually tweaked it a last week which sacred me a bit but seams to be bouncing back pretty well. I went pretty full on with the physio and was on stationary bike every other day while in a sling. Cannot understate how vital that was to my recovery. What I would say was the recovery initially after both the surgeries was utterly brutal. Particularly getting the plate put in was excruciating. My arm sits a bit funny in my shoulder and I have a fairly large bump sticking out but got like 99% mobility. I also managed to bench over 100kg so I'm utterly chuffed all things considered. The surgerons, despite treating me like some kind of puppet, are incredible at what they do. Very very grateful.
@@Conor-hv5rl thank you. Just now got x- rayed and scheduled a surgery next week. Glad to know its not a death sentence to my sports and that there is a possibility for full recovery. Lifting my hopes :)
@@Conor-hv5rl hey are you fine now? I mean can you workout go for a gym after surgery, and if yes how much time it took to be recover and go for gym? Please let me know, I'm planning to get a surgery I'm really nervous, about future work out weight liftings.
I have type 3 I realized ... just happened a few hours ago ... waited 3 hours to have a male nurse look at it and send me home with pain meds .... says come back in 2 weeks and we’ll look at it again
@@priyanthalakmal7800 been 8 months ... still waiting ... probably won’t be until next year but yes I do want the surgery... sucks doing push-ups and heavy bicep curls ... I need the collar bone support
@@priyanthalakmal7800 yes you don’t “need” surgery just like you don’t “need” your fingers or toes.... but if it can be corrected then why not correct it ... I’m not really affected by the injury, I can feel the missing support that my other shoulder has and I definitely want it fixed, I hate flexing because my collar bone sticks out when I do ... I didn’t lose 120lbs over 5years just to have a ugly looking shoulder when I flex in the cobra pose ... also gets sore when I lay on that side when sleeping ... I have full range of motion ... my scapula scrapes against my rib cage because It’s not held in position by the collar bone and when I take a deep breath it will make the cracking/scraping sound ... doing things like washing walls and doing dishes makes my shoulder sore after 5-10min from moving around a lot ... or going for walks swinging my arms makes the shoulder sore after about 30-40min so yea I would rather gets it corrected and healed while I’m still young and not have it get any worse as I age
Why do I have to scratch around in freaking RU-vid to finally find this video that makrs quite clear I have a Type 2 or 3 injury. 7 days ago in what is supposed to be one of the nation's best trauma centers the surgeon told me the big protrudence on top of my shoulder joint was "soft tissue." Soft tissue my ass. Doctors can be such arrogant jerks.
