Thank you for this video. I've been teaching myself to paint, but have had way too much trouble mixing colors. (I'm an expert at making mud brown.) This video finally explained everything in a way I could understand, and the video was simple & well done. The skin tones section will help me tremendously.

Starting off with a set is a really great idea if you want to jump right in and not get stuck on colors. That's how I got started! You can always learn to mix later. :)

I was short of money, so I only bought the primary acrylic colours (as I've heard that they can be used to create any colour)...and this video just gave me the confidence I needed

I'm watching it now and it's giving me soooo much confidence. I'm starting life over after spending 7 years taking care of my mom. She has a brain injury. I have learned so much taking care of her, including to go after what makes me happy and not to change for others, but just be myself. So I'm doing me! Art is me! It has been since I was school. Probably should have gone to set school, but I didn't so I am now via RU-vid! Lol! Thanks again for the vid!

I believe the new primary colors are cyan, magenta, and yellow. And red, blue, are now secondary....

Did you know that if you mix: 🔴+🟡+🔵=🟤 you get brown! And if you mix the warm colours with the cool colours: 🔴🟠🟡+🟢🔵🟣=🟤 you get Brown! and the opposite of Brown is Brown -🟤=🟤 Brown is a special colour!
