In this video art lesson I cover acrylic techniques on how to paint the textures in the water as well as the fine details in the foreground. I also cover how to paint the sunset. I used various paint brushes which I cover throughout the video lesson.

Materials used:
- Golden fluid acrylic paint (titanium white, carbon black, prussian blue, cerulean blue, primary yellow)
- Liquitex soft body acrylic paint (cad red, cadmium orange)
- Water for mixing into the paints (thinning) and washing brushes
- 16x20" stretched canvas

Absolute truth....paintings go through an ugly stage. That is where mine is right now and I don't want to go face it :). It will be ok eventually, but it frustrates me. That is why I am watching you.......to see where to go :)

Beth Tannenbaum I use a little spray bottle with water. It was an old body mist spray that my girlfriend cleaned out and repurposed for art. Just a spray every now and again on to the palette helps keep my paint from drying.

Thank you for this painting! I'm up to the point where it starts to go very fast. Is there a way to slow it down so I can better follow what you are doing during that portion of the video? I hope mine turns out at least somewhat close! I love your vids I have learned SO much.
