@@angelbubbles3065thickness has nothing to do with how long they last, the free edge is supposed to be as thick as a credit card and the apex should be built up. This is the exact same way they do it in the salon, it's the 2 bead method... Good prep is what makes them last.
It's monomer...Honestly you're better off using polygel or gel x dupes if you want to learn how to do nails. Acrylic is not as easy as it looks here - at all - the monomer smell is awful and you have to be careful not to breathe in the powder. It sets within a minute so you have to work extremely fast and then you have to learn how to file and shape.. polygel & gel doesn't set until you cure it in the UV lamp so you have all the time in the world to get it right gel x dupes are great because you don't have to file and shape except to buff the polish and crispen your shape if necessary but it's just too easy and so cheap and you can concentrate on your artwork. Just make sure you learn prep and don't rush through that because you can have beautiful nails but that makes no difference if they're popping off!
If you have a form like the one shown in this video, no. File and buff your natural nail, do your cuticle work, use a dehydrator and primer, apply the form and start shaping your acrylic to create a fully acrylic nail extension.
@bellaxyuhx. Nope, Followed The Directions To A Tee, Still Wouldn't Solidify or Harden Enough To File, Without Being Gummy and Sticking To The Drill Bit.
