If an accident could occur and the buildings collapsed or caught fire killing people,their families and lawyers will be attacking the Government and claiming its accountable for having allowed habitation in dangerous dilapidated structures. The Court's must take full consideration of that aspect and not oppose the evictions.

Problem is they are this eager till you vote them into power, then nothing gets done. He may be doing this for the votes, but again - might genuinely do something about the decay if voted into power. I am just very pessimistic where politicians are concerned - big talk when they are trying to gain favour, then they disappear

Nothing will change unless you give building owners the right to take their buildings back and evict non payers without having to go to court or pay thousands or even millions to do it. The law protects squatters making the government's job of finding housing for the poor, the building owner's problem. It must change or these issues of illegal occupation will never be resolved.
