Writing music for films comes with its own logistical challenges. Like how to sync music to specific hits and scene cuts. Or setting up tempo maps and automation channels. Then there are the more music related challenges like how to write action music in various styles. Here this piece explores writing an action adventure cue for a fantasy based setting. I'll be going into more details about this cue in a later video but for now, take a look at how the music supports the action on screen. Its not strict 'mickey-mousing', as is customary for many Western animation shows/films -- but it also isn't super free flowing. There's a healthy balance to this that I tried to focus on. Another main area I tried my best to focus on was the repetition of the main themes. Both the themes associated with adventure/Atlantis and the theme associated with terror.
