Hi, I'm Jonathan, professionally known as JON Remi. I'm a music composer for modern media. I believe in the unifying power of music, and this philosophy serves as the foundation for my RU-vid channel.
While I love creating music; I also greatly value musical-education. This channel serves as a way for me to share my knowledge on the art of composition, orchestration, production, mixing, philosophy of music, and more.

WOW!! This is so inspiring! We are so touched that you find inspiration in the work we made. It really makes you want to keep going creatively! You did an amazing job on this piece of music! It's so vast and ethereal. We'd love to collaborate one of these days soon!
@@ELIOLIArt I’m really happy you found the music fitting for your work! Your art is truly an inspiration to me since the first day I saw your work on IG. And yes, I’d love to talk more about a future collaboration🙏🏾, can’t wait to hear from you.
Thanks for the feedback. Glad you're finding this series helpful Part 2B just released today, def check that out when you can. As for the software, I'm using Cubase
Thank you !! Yea, I totally love the longform content muuuuuuuuch more than the short form. I prefer using capcut to simply generate short form pieces from the longer and posting them to the socials like IG,TikTok
Thanks for checking out the video. I’m glad you find it useful. I plan to put out more regular content/tutorials in the next few weeks so def be on the lookout for that 🙌🏾
Fam he's def goated! Always finds interesting approaches to supporting the story on screen. I'll def check out the Cathedral track you mentioned. Are you a composer as well?
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I have tons more throughout my channel. If you want to get notified for every new video, consider subscribing.
Great point ... I could do that. This suggestion actually has a name in composition writing techniques. I still think that, unfortunately, it'd feel like someone else's music to me and I wouldn't feel comfortable releasing it as my own work. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel
@@AFRHmusic Yea the soundtrack was just soooo emotional and heart wrenching ... like sometimes when you listen to music out of its context it loses its emotional pull, but not that one. His soundtrack for When They See Us is honestly one of my favorite of his. It also goes to show just how diverse of a composer he is.
@@jonremimuziq i cry everytime I listen to «Coney Island», just because of the emotional scene its linked to in the series. Such a masterpiece, its a «happy» song, but still so sad
Hi Sam!! Great to meet you. Berklee Online has been a breath of fresh air .. Granted I didn't start going to music school until I was well into adulthood so I have nothing to compare it to. But Berklee online offers me the opportunity to still work full time as a science teacher AND be a full time student. Its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more affordable too. And the professors are all really awesome and know how to teach. At least in my program so far. The process getting in was fairly simple in terms of what they required us to do. For my program (Music Composition for Film, TV, and Games) we had to submit 3 pieces of original music with notation as well. I at the time had no skill in writing music, everything I knew about music was self taught by ear. So that's the one aspect of that process that was a little bit difficult for me. If you don't mind me asking, what program are you looking to get into?
