I’m praying someone correctly mixes the audio for this and blends it into the actual song. It feels like finding a photo of my parents I didn’t know about, making me feel weird in my gut, might just be grief. I’m hoping someone replies to my comment when this version gets the proper love it deserves
Honestly, no one, and I mean NO ONE on Earth can fuck with this guy. No lifeform comes within a damn parsec. This guy is way beyond dope and when God calls him, he will instantly become heavens spokesman.
The reason why this was not released was because MF DOOM sent his verse in too late, which is why it never made it on the recording. This verse was supposed to be the ending on Terry, but DOOM probably was busy with lots of collabs (when DOOM passed Madlib said they were working on a follow up to Madvillainy,) or he was dealing with some health issues at the time. Not entirely sure but I do hope one day this verse is released. I’m not sure what DOOM’s estate will allow for release, but I will say it took Robert Glasper 4-5 years to get his song with Mac Miller released (Therapy pt. II if anyone wants to check it out, a massive banger.)
Am i the only one who wouldnt be surprised if DOOM dropped an entire new album years after his death? I feel like thats the kind of thing he would love to do. Wait like 5 more years until AI voice replication is perfected. Drop a new Viktor Vaughn album, elude to it being AI but never actually clarify if it is or not. Would be a cool way to use the viktor Vaughn character considering hes a time traveler from the future with themes of technology and AI etc.
Pretty obvious why this version was never released. There's no way mr bronson could put a verse next to this that isn't outshined by several levels of magnitude. Rap music is about outwardly displaying the greatest possible ego, almost to the level of caricature. To get absolutely mashed on your own track is career suicide. Our only solace as fans of the art, is knowing that the same person that made the decision not to release this, also thought bringing Pitbull on the track was a good idea.
