Late Golden Age and early Silver Age Superman stories can all be summed up as "Great Scott! Which of my many super powers can I use to get out of THIS predicament?"

It's imperative in most of these stories that Superman forget most of his powers. In particular his ability to move beyond light speed. If he remembered all his powers he'd be unstoppable. I also question whether he TRULY has a more advanced brain.

@@DCSilverAgeStorytime He does, but he uses most of his brain power listening for distress calls amid the thousands of chattering voices, while not knocking over buildings by accident.
