In this video Shrii Shrii Anandamurtiji explains the concept of spirituality, in this video He talks about meditation and its three fold approach - Physical, Psychic & Psycho-spiritual, which correspond to 3 faculties of life, actional, intellectual cum intuitional and emotional cum devotional. Although he explains that all three faculties are equally important in one's life, but he emphasises how the final outcome or resultant of intuitional and actional faculties is devotion.

Nice video and such sweetness in his voice! There were some key points made: - Per him, meditation is concentrated thinking (although many do not agree with this definition!) - One way to deal with the problem of psychic extravaganza/lack of rationalization is through (controlled) breathing! When the waves of physical breath and thought waves/emanations coincide/become one, it is what is called as hatha yoga samadhi! - The difference between emotion and devotion was made clear as well. Devotion is emotion when coupled with a 'methodical' movement - the method implies that there is an application/blending of actional, intellectual, and intuitional faculties to the emotional faculty!

Thank you for your posting. I appreciate it. Please note the error in the subtitle word at the time point: 11:07. You wrote " ... want of our intellectual pursuits". I think you mean and what Baba said is " .... wont of our intellectual pursuits". This spelling error grossly changes the intended meaning. Please dont mind me correcting it. If I am wrong please post your comment. If you choose to post the correction, you may remove my comments.

I think it is want. Wont means characteristic, so characteristic of intellectual pursuit does not make sense. But if you say want of intellectual pursuit, it means desire of intellectual pursuit, I think this makes more sense.

Applying what you are saying, if you re-read what the subtitle says, it will be "whenever duality comes it is due to our ignorance and desire of intellectual pursuits" .. it appears contradictory to me .. how can (in the context of this topic) something be due to ignorance and also at the same time be due to desire for intellectual pursuit? The word "wont" means characteristic; but I have also seen it being use for "lack of". So here it would mean "whenever duality occurs it is due to our ignorance and lack of intellectual pursuits". Just my thoughts .. please feel free to remove my comments. I don't want to make this beautiful post argumentative. Respectfully submitted.....

Namaskar, aren't we ignorant because we desire intellectual pursuits? Isn't spirituality about focusing on Him only and giving up our physical and intellectual pursuits. These are my thoughts while I understand your point as well.

Kirit is right. It should be 'wont of intellectual pursuits'. Baba uses this word quite often to mean lack of. The time stamp is at 07:55.
