you would be amazed at how many people don;t know about mounting! Our ProRider 603 students, men that have been riding for 30 years have no idea! It'sone of the first things we teach during our course!
Exactly! I don't know where some people come up with these ignorant ideas, just want to be different I guess. And by the way should bring those ape hangers down a little so the poor guy will have better control of the steering! Personally I would get rid of them all together, I never liked ape hangers! 🤠👍
then don't watch, mr Play.... no , gas is not gas, hope you don't operate any machines with crappy gas, no need to be rude, this kid, my son is 8 here, and he is correct. sorry buddy. bullys suck, be nice or don't watch.
Us old school guys considered a mount from the right side a bad luck ride. I learned from a friend who was a motorcycle cop that they were to mount from the shoulder side for safety. He said that most didn't. You look before you mount. I've been riding chopped and stock big machines since '82. It always feels natural to me to let your body weight bring the bike up to center while swinging your leg over. Left foot brings the stand up all in one movement. Maybe I'm a weirdo. -Haahh. Anyhow everybody ride safe, It's spring time '23 "Lets Ride !"
Right on 👍, with gas prices you'd figure lots of people would be buying a scoot. Alas, many have too much candy coming out of their a-s to give it a shot.❗️
Thanks for your comment I feel like you're on my side but I can't really tell watch the video of my dad I posted about mounting from the high side it's a police Practice just so they don't get off into traffic
Watch the video of my dad instructing our class you'll understand When you're on the side of the road you do not want to dismount into traffic When you're in a parking lot it really doesn't matter there is no right or wrong way it's just something that my parents are drilling into my head so when I teach the class later in life I will be preparing
Absolutely beautiful bike in my opinion flawless by the way giving that young man the opportunity to ride it is priceless this is what AMERICAN people are about beautiful thank you for posting this it's made my day one million percent thank you
Yes, and WTF, not appreciated Dude, you are commenting on a 10 year olds page! unbelievable... i'm going to tell you why this is, just because a real biker will appreciate the insight....its a safety thing... We own a Police Riding Skills School so yes, this is what he is taught and again, he is 100% correct "Motorcycle officers or Motormen “as we are called” are taught to mount and dismount from the right of the bike because dismounting from the left placed the officer in the lane of traffic.
Maybe bike cops mount like that, but i've been riding the Brand for almost 40 yrs & have NEVER heard, known or seen anyone do that. Based on 90% of these comments...sounds like you've got it backwards, but to each their own I suppose...as long as you're safe & responsible.
A friend had 2 of those . Both suicide shifts and rigid frames . I'm an old guy and those 2 bikes were very memorable. This kids just had his memory etched in passion . Great parents 👏👍❤
At age10 - 12, we built home made motorized mini bikes in Mr White's shop all with his engineers' guidance and blessings. I vividly remember high compression chainsaw motor direct chain rw drive. Although far more advanced bike for this kid, all of these are best years and memories. Good luck young one, ride safe with cool adults
@@ActionJackson603 De Nada . Thank You for bringing back the memories of those cool little bikes . I've never seen any 2 the same . I wish there were more small bikes to choose from in the states . There would be more riders on the road which would mean more awareness . My sister wanted my nephews to have nothing to do with motorcycles . I can't exactly blame her she's seen the aftermath of me crashing many of them . I did teach one of my nephews how to ride my 750 shadow aero . It's size alone was intimidating and I had to tell him it's much more forgiving than a dirt bike . He didn't understand , he never rode one . He did do good even though he stalled alot . Best wishes on your journies . Live And Let Ride
@@prorider603advancedmotorcy3 Well earned compliment . In a time where everyone is looking for " safe spaces " you picked an excellent spot . A bike , any bike to include bicycles teach so much more about reality than I'm capable of describing. There's maintenance , pre ride checks , and most importantly responsibility . The bike doesn't care about the rider any more than the concrete or worse gravel lol . That means the rider cares or pays the price . I could go on and on as I am a bikeahaulic . If anyone is going to spend their life behind bars the best bars have 2 wheels attached . I stumbled upon this video looking for a 5150 to show to a friend . This was the best example that I found . Thank You for sharing .
@@bretcappola6904 millennials and then whatever they call my age group// i am 10.... i couldn't tell ya! Ive heard the adults talk about the different "generations" baby boomers, etc...thanks for your comment! ! Keep watching!
Wondering what bike school you went to ? Always mount from the high side? I've ridden bikes all my life, lived in six different countries including the USA, and Never, met anyone who mounted from the high side ???????
@@dumbcat thank you for backing me! correct.... Why do motor officers mount from the high side? It is a habit ingrained in them from training to avoid passing traffic. If you pull a vehicle over to the right side of the road, and then dismount on the leftside, you are stepping into traffic and run the risk of being hit by a passing car. Believe it not @maaka tipa, it is actually easier to mount this way, you should try it.
How fast was each? I been wanting a 5150. Because of price is why I'm asking. Like how much difference is there between engine size for price. Does the 250 only go 5mph faster than the 125, for almost a thousand $ more type of thing is what I'm getting at.
1st chopper. His first bike was ttr 50 , then came the kx65 , I also have a 1970s trail bike, a 1980s trail bike, a 1960s trail bike, a 6 time world champion pocket rocket and a 3 wheeler! I think I have more bikes than my dad now! I have been riding since I turned one. Check Out our Google page for Motorcycle repair shop 603 motorsports
Action Jackson you are so cool, I just love your personality! Reminds me of my kid, you’re awesome! Keep on riding and doing big things. Don’t let anyone get to ya! Keep being a baddie!🙌🏼😎❤️
Hello . I'm Pete , a 72 year old Scot living in England . I've never ridden a motorcycle , though I've ridden pillion with my old pal for many a cool mile . He had to give up through ill-health , and I'm not so well either . But I tell ya , I LOVE that wee motorcycle . If I was well , I'd love one . Seriously ! Cheers . Pete
Jackson. My Favorite name. You are too Kool dude. Wish more kids were like you now a days. Good job with the bike. Keep safe and watch the other drivers. 👍✌️😃

mom here.....love ya kiddo! stay you!!!! don;t let them idiots at school ever bring you down. you are an amazing person, a true old soul ... a warrior! @dawn diamond
Been riding street and dirt since the early 70s. Never have I been told to mount from the right or "high" side (whatever she said). Always the kickstand side (which has always been on the left).
there is no right or wrong way, it just depends if you are on side of raod, high side safer... all depends on where/when. there is no right or wrong.. Police practices.... they are trained to mount from the right due to the traffic side of the road or street. mounting is preferance.... we teach our students for prorider 603, there is no right or wrong way, its simply for safety should you stop and get off your bike on side of road, if your bars are turned all the way left your bike will not tip over, give it a try before you know it, its especially great for those with bad knees.
disagree...ts a safety thing .., we teach police skills, they mount and dismount fromhugh side for safety purposes so they don't get off bike in traffic
No worries I had gas in 20 minutes Friend came all the way from Massachusetts with it yes A-tent full of bikes They aren't all ours we own a motorcycle shop
He'll maintain more control if you lower those ape hangers! Personally I would get rid of them! I just never liked ape hangers myself, I know a lot of people do but I'm not one of them, less control and after awhile your arms Will tire!🤠👍
i didn't know that either, unless your being sarcastic, sometimes its hard to tell if folks are screwing with me or if they are serious. I'm getting a lot of bully comments. wish people could just be kind. goes a long way! I have a fb page now too facebook.com/actionjackson603
Y'all must be in Canada cause we never heard mount from high side that feels weird to us but jus personal preference cool bike hope you many years of enjoyment
@@ActionJackson603 The only people I know that mount from the right are cops. Prefesional extortionists. They will protect and serve the #uck out of you.
It's just a safety thing that we teach in our class. It's a police practice for the side of the road doesn't matter what side you mount from or dismount from. But when you're on the side of the road you Don't want to dismount into traffic. We all stop on the side of the road one time or another

It sure is! nice with the 125 upgrade, neighbors think we are crazy , its a private culdesac but people suck and we still let him ride it up and down the road! wish we owned it! Its on loan for him, I think I see it lasting another season here, BIG Stuff coming up for us this year! Teaming up with NH Speedway for Motorcycle Skills Competition, I can see Jackson doing the course on this bike! We will have to bring it! check us out at www.prorider603.com Thanks for watching and thanks for you r"nice" comment, did you see that little crapheads comments, that are completely wrong, kids, so happy mine is one of the good ones!
@@ActionJackson603 mount from the low side, dismount from the high. Gives you more room to swing over. I'll take the advice from professionals in a state funded license class over random people on the Internet.
@Cheap Angler I'm sorry you feel that way. We are a licensed motorcycle advanced Instruction school reteach police officer skills to civilian riders. Doesn't matter which side you mount or dismount from? It's just when you're on the side of the road you don't. Want? To. Get off into traffic
The handle bars need to be moved back until he has a little more bend in the elbows. I've always mounted my cycle from the left, have I been doing it wrong for 50 years ?
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yNtfFK4dC50.html this is why, no right or wrong way, but boy so many peole are so mean about this, thank you for being kind, much appreciated
I have ridden bikes my whole 66 years including harleys. Never heard you had to mount on the high side. I know I won't be doing that. Easy way for the bike to come off the stand.
Don't hours mount from the high side all depends on the situation you're in if you're on the side of the road you want to mount and dismount from the high side so you're not into traffic watch the video of my dad instructing the class and you'll understand
@@stevensmith1718 No not at all not my bike I don't really have control over it. I'm just happy that a friend lent it to me. Thanks for commenting back I appreciate it please keep watching
completely disagree if you are smart enough to turn your bars the correct way you can not "pull/knock" your bike over! lol, hilarious so many of you are so angry about it.... don't knock mounting and dismounting from the high side until you give a shot. mount any way you want, police do it for safety so they don't dismount into traffic, keep that in mind next time you pull over to take a piss, love that it just pisses you off so much. thanks for taking time out of your day to give your 2 sense! and... mounting from the high side also is easy on your knees....have a great day!
No right or wrong way to mount or dismount watch the video of my dad teaching our class you'll understand why we do it Thanks for the kudos on the bike And taking the time to comment
