Action potential lecture - This nervous system lecture on action potential explains about the mechanism of action potential or nerve impulse in nervous system in which electrical membrane potential of a cell rapidly rise and drop as well as it describes the resting potential. This lecture states the role of action potential in cell to cell communication by propagation of signals. Action potential states that the nerve impulse occurs when a stimulus depolarizes a cell membrane, prompting an action potential which sends an all or none signal. This action potential lecture also introduces the role of voltage gated ion channels and neurotransmitter that bind to receptors and the three stages of action potential including depolarization, polarization, hyperpolarization.

Sir you said Na+ k+ gated channel are always open at resting membrane potential...then you sai Na+ gated channel will open at the time of depolarisation..but they were already opened

Those are leaky channel that are always open. Voltage gated channels are open during the onset of action potential
