This sounds phenomenal. I've been flip flopping between Dinan and M--Performance, but I think this completely stomps both of those. Removes the ugly udder, sounds amazing. MPE is way overpriced and still has an udder and seems like it hangs even lower than stock, and the Dinan just amplifies some of the bad tones of the S55. Thanks for sharing this and helping me decide.
Youve just made my decision to buy the comp insyead of the OG car 👌 Only thing pushing me the other way was the noise of the S55. This is how a straight 6 should sound! Completely agree on the burbles, too. A little bit of natural overrun sounds great, but the over the top fake noise is tragic.
Sound great, for me I never had a problem with mines, I love the unique sound it make and it’s not loud, I love that I can hear both intake and exhaust sound, but if I was to change my mind I will definitely get your set up with the carbon tips 👍
You might be the only one lol. The S55 sounds terrible without an EL setup. It doesn’t sound bad from the inside due to the fake piped in noise but on the outside.. 🥴
@@CJ2X Tbh it's not about the sound for me. Stock is fine although the EL's do sound hella nice. My issue is with the burbles, pops and bangs. I can't stand when cars are popping and banging every time you let off etc as it always sounds like there's something wrong with the car lol. And the piped is sound is always a no from me. If it was audi quiet yet the car still hauled ass i wouldn't care as much as it sounding like a 12 gauge going off every 10 seconds lol.
Just ordered mine. Most useful info for me was seeing it all fit in the car haha. But really, thanks for the comparisons. Really looking forward to it.
You probably have the best setup for this car. I want to go this direction just not sure on the resonator or not ab section. I currently have CTS high flow catted DP's.
Well done. It's the one thing I have done to my car to make me love it vs. like it a whole bunch. Incom, parable tone. I have the same AA setup on my car, stock DP, but resonated. Going back to the non-res very soon. If anybody wants a pair of resonators, they will soon be for sale in the Tuscon area!!
@@ian_b8477 Took out the Res for a bit to do a track day. Track had no noise restrictions, so went balls-out. Back on the street and around town? Ridiculous. Just too much IMHO. Once in Sport or Sport+ with the valves open, it's straight out the rear from the downpipes back. Listen as it goes past the wall... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-brGUkkaW9Kg.html
Budy, nice setup. I will copy that here in Europe :), but please what wheels do you have? Looks perfect as you probably have anthracite color, I am wondering to go for shiny silver, but I have Hockenheim Silver on my M2C so I am not sure if that will be ok ...
Hey bro just looking at getting this for mine, does this still have the primary cats, obviously can see the secondary gets deleted, probably the best sounding M2 I’ve ever heard!
Hey man, awesome video! it helped me make the decision to get the same exhaust for my M2cs! Can you tell me which exact tips (BMW part numbers) you were able to fit? There is a set meant for the MPE, and a set meant for the OEM exhaust. If I go the same way, I want to make sure I get the right parts. Thanks!
Unfortunately, mine came with the car so I’m not exactly sure what was ordered. Based on a quick search, looks like 18302358110 is the part number. Contact Turner Motorsports or IND Distribution. and asked them.. They should be able to help you. One last thing.. If you decide to go with the tips, they do slightly touch in the back. So it wouldn’t be a bad idea to find something to put in between them.
Hey thanks for the video, Wanted to ask you if sounds different inside in a good way ? I am more interested in the incabin noise rather than the outside
It sounds good. Not loud until you want it to be. No droning. I removed the ASD so it sounds different than it did with the ASD on. I should’ve removed the ASD before I installed the exhaust so I can hear how the car really sounds in stock form. Anyways, I plan on doing a POV video in the near future so stay tuned for that!
AA recommends the EL mid pipe for street cars. Single mid pipe is geared more towards track use. I personally think the single sounds a little to raspy and aggressive for my taste.
