You style is incredible. Why can’t people here teach like this… I struggled to understand AD for a long time because of folks going 0-100 in the first few minutes. Thank you!
@@Cobuman Just subscribed to your channel. You are a real teacher. I want to try my hands on this Active Directory training, but need to ask few questions especially with the downloads bit. : 1. First of all can I do this on a laptop? If yes, is there anyone specific with certain specs? 2. Do I download trial version of windows server 2019 first? 3. Then use oracle virtual box software to install a virtual machine?
You are so good at explaining things so clearly step by step. Thank you for taking all this time teaching and sharing your vast IT knowledge. You're the best teacher ever!
Hi Ervin, this video is excellent!! Very educational and informative and definitely gives people great intro about this topic. I shall keep watching other videos from your great selection. Thank you so much. (Greetings from London )
So glad I found this channel. You are an expert at explaining concepts simply. And these videos that introduce ones with no knowledge (like myself) to these tools are invaluable!
Randomly stubled upon this video while prepping for my Azure Admin interview tomorrow, I really appreciate you going the extra mile and showing techniques that work instead of just talking about them. You earned a sub for sure!
Thanks a million for doing this video for some of us that are new to this. So many people put videos and forget there are lots of adults beginners all over the world that do not have access to computers until they enter the workforce. I love how detailed and simple this information is. I've learnt so much for this video. I'm going to share it with a lot of people that I know personally that can benefit from it. Thanks be bless 🙏
Thank you so much for this video! Gonna start a new job soon and they mentioned lots of password resets will be done so now I feel ready! Thanks again 👍
Thank you so much for this well explained video. I am transitioning into tech working on getting a help desk job and was intimated by AD when searching YT for information on what it is. Most videos make it sound like another language that I can’t even get through one min, but your video is great for a beginner and takes away the anxiety. Thank you again so much!!
You are the best, you are my hero and you the guide fot IT ......................... Thanks you Thank you for sharing your time, experience and talent.
Great video. I really appreciate how you make absolutely no assumptions other than "this person knows how to click on things and type", because that is the average person's experience with AD.

I'm fairly smart, and I'm trying to enter the tech world, this video was so clean cut and straight to the point for an absolute beginner in AD. Thank you so much!
Your soo awesome I just ❤ your teaching I be lost with some of the other learning videos. I feel like I get a desktop support job with confidence by understanding better
Great start to video cobuman. I was wondering do you have any content discussing hybrid models (like cloud and on premises). I'm always see this on job descriptions and always get questions about it from recruiters. Even though I've worked for a few placed that had this model, I always left confused.
Great question. The easiest example of hybrid setup is Office 365 and Azure AD. Basically, in order to use O365 in business, you need to create a hybrid setup with traditional AD setup. I have a crash course on O365 and few more videos on that. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-utwbHuObU1k.html
Well you are the best!I will give you an update later regarding Desktop Engineer position I am currently interviewing for and its one of the top 4 companies in the world. and I have gone through first three round by literally watching your videos and Interview questions.
Hey Irvin, I just wanted to extend my appreciation on this video. It is way far informative and very direct to the point. I just got hired as an IT HELPDESK ANALYST and your tutorials are very helpful. Take care always man! Keep it up!
I have no prior experience In I.T but i have a sec+ and learned Nessus and some Active Directory. may i see ur resume to compare with mine. its a difficult road
Nice video - just started at an MSP and I’m still in training but they use AD for alot of the systems they manage and I have no experience with it. Do you have a follow up to this video which would be some more advanced functions?
Sir at 14:14 you have to uncheck the box where written (user must change password at first logon) Because you are creating a Domain account can also be called a AD account. In AD Account no option come to change password at first logon. Option appear for changing password at first logon if it's Email Account. Thanks.
I don't get that. Where I work, we always leave that checked so that the person can set their password to whatever they want. We use Outlook for staff email so everything syncs together.
Hi cobuman, Can you tell what exactly call log in help Desk support. Who will do this task? what are the requirement to call log. what are the tools used to call log?
Hey cobuman, so my friend is trying to learn about computers and wants to get into IT, he’s still in high school and has a year left and he’s interested in doing IT, and he wants to start from the most basic because he does not have any knowledge about it. Is there any thing you can recommend?
I had to work AD in Windows Server 2016 in last year when i took a 6 month IT course. The teacher asked me if i ever worked in an office, i told him no. LOL He seemed surprised that i knew this much. I never used Windows Server in my life and i never heard of the name Active Directory, i was just adding users, groups and passwords and so on just as practice. Same thing happened to me with my work on EXCEL, the teacher asked me for permission to use my work in his future classes. I thought my work was average but he thought differently. I think i constantly suffer from Dunning Kruger effect because even though i was always straight A student, i always underestimate myself because i know there is so much i dont know yet. Anyways thanks for your videos. You and Professor Messer are doing gods work. Do you have plans to do more videos, or updated videos? Has anything changed in IT since these 2 year old videos were posted? New software maybe?
Great question. Yes, I have some more recent and update videos on AH, DHCP, DNS and etc. Here is a crash course example. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sndVKp6o_7M.html I'm glad you're enjoying my videos and that they are useful to you. About the Dunning Kruger effect... never sell yourself short. The basic knowledge is such a powerful tool, and showing expertise in that goes a long way. Never forget that knowledge is power no matter how small it is. Always be proud of that.
