You only need take the fuse off when car is off, then press on then off, then pull in the fuse then the valve should be opened, then take the fuse off again then its done! No need to on and off while the fuse in at the last step, otherwise the valve will close again!
I've done this and had the valve set to open for about 3-4wks since TheTopher described how to do this in a forum post. BUT - since then, I've had a noticeable amount MORE soot buildup on the middle exhaust tip. It does sound cooler at lower revs, but sorta strange that this buildup is occurring.
@@Hattrk85 I mean - a Honda with some extra soot on/around the exhaust isn't exactly an un-common thing... but ... just noticed it. Keep up the good videos!
Some people noticed some change on cold start, as if the engine would run more rough after a month. Mostly people in colder weather. Wonder what this vague reports are about
Mine is a European version and it worked perfectly. Try the fuse number 8 (7,5amp) It’s the same showed at the video. Try some times, checking the valve after every switch on/off cycle, after 2 or 3 tries you will see it opened. In my case it opened the valve with the fuse in place, then checked the valve was open and then removed the fuse.
@@Hattrk85 car is off, unplug 7.5amp active exhaust fuse. Turn car on to accessory mode and then off. Then put fuse back in, turn car back on again. Valve still closed.
Still sounds like a vacuum cleaner. HONDA dropped the ball on the FL5. 1st mod is an exhaust. AWE Touring for me. Spend the money and get rid of that turd of an exhaust.
