@@AlisonMcDowell summarized link and quoted ::: . One key insight we present is that ambient smart environments may support allostatic control not only by simplifying an agent's problem space, but by increasing uncertainty, in order to destabilise calcified, sub-optimal, psychological and behavioural patterns. In short, we lay an empirically-grounded theoretical foundation for understanding ambient smart environments, and for answering related philosophical questions around agency, trust, and subjective wellbeing.
I don't think the take away is about enforcing right-think. As I see it, it's about how the brain works with the senses - about how different agents can sample from any given information field and depending on what each one pulls out as a sample, they will tell a variety of stories about what they find and their past experiences. I think that is why a distributed, networked, extended mind, human intelligence is being terraformed, there is no one correct perspective, the only big view is the one that integrates the breadth of lived experience among unique monads.
@@AlisonMcDowell so there is a larger desire then to track the monads through their human representatives activity in prepared environments? Do the monads know? Do they like it?
@@majestyincreaser I believe what is being installed is distributed intelligence social computation. Based on the interest of many in the quantified self, I imagine many people, even if told what it was would enjoy it. That said, how many out there are even discussing these ideas. Not happening. I'm just a weirdo with a weird channel of video notes.
@@majestyincreaser If it's helpful, I'm not entirely convinced we understand what time actually is, so with that lens now is enough. : ) We are all doing our best.
If that's your take away, listen to it a few more times and do more research on active inference and the free energy principle. Your comment exemplifies the wolf/cat mismatch.
