This video is a short narrative that depicts a High School shooting situation and examples of proper and improper responses. It is used as part of a training program for the Muscogee County School District in Columbus, GA. I was in charge of producing this video as Director of the NPACE Center in the Department of Communication at Columbus State University where I am a Lecturer in Media Production. I served as Director, Director of Photography, 1st Camera Operator, Script Supervisor, Casting Director and Lead Editor. Most all of the cast are local High School students or Columbus State University students plus High School teachers and CSU faculty. The crew was made up of High School and University students working in collaboration with High School and University faculty. The local police and emergency management agency provided their personnel and equipment. We attempted to make this video compelling by creating a story format and combining both cinematic and documentary styles. (Video by Roger Hart)
