good to know....outside of North American these drones do not perform as well...they automatically kick down into a lower power mode and we run into tons of signal issues, lost signals, return to home...really disappointing and a waste of money if you want to do anything other than shots from just 30 meters away...
I'm a Motorcycle Instructor.... Carrie (sp?)... PLEASE don't put your foot down like that when taking a turn on pavement!! It's fine on dirt with proper motocross boots, but I've seen students do that and get a VERY nasty broken leg when their foot caught on the pavement!! Gene... that was a classic 'front brake grab'! Also, ALWAYS wear boots over your ankle (boots are a part of "ALL the gear, All the time") and you won't lose your shoe in a crash. The fact you've lost your shoe in BOTH accidents should be a good hint! LOVE the channel, guys!!

Great video. Also, looking at DJI's website they state; "..Obstacle sensing is NOT available during high-speed tracking". Not sure I like the sound of that. They also state; "...DJI warranty does not cover any loss caused by crashing when flying left or right, even when ActiveTrack or Tripod mode is activated. Please be aware of your surroundings and App notifications when operating the Mavic 2 to ensure safety.". Hmmm...So, not sure what is covered. Leaves me wondering.....

can one use fps goggles while active tracking "AND" head tracking are activated in the Goggles. I want to have a drone follow my Rc while im using the Rc controller to control the RC. Since the Drone is set to active track I technically should be able to just have the controls for the done hanging from my neck or whatever. Can the drone do this? Which drone and Fps goggles would you recomend in 2021 for this?
Maybe try an Active Track vs Active Track 2.0 comparison ? I have Active Track on my Mavic Air and it crashed into my house... -_- on my channel you can see that (Why I hate DJI Active track video) but I'm just wondering if it is any better

The tech is moving fast.. but it didn't do the kind of jump people like this think. Reminds me of a chick I knew in the 90's. Got in a car that had cruise control, turned it on... and just assumed the car was completely autonomous and ran off the road at freeway speeds. Active track still sucks - who wants shots the BACK of Your head Active tracks NEEDS TO WORK FLYING BACKWARDS SHOWING THE FRONT OF YOUR FACE!!! I Go 25 miles an hour on my E skate board and Active track CANNOT keep up
I never go away without my Pelican case 1690. :P Only 34.00 lbs (15.4 kg) when empty and with foam you are up to 43.00 lbs (19.5 kg). Then your camera and drone etc. add up. :D
I would recommend MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack. It has very good protection and support, plus very convenient access to gear and place for a laptop (for flights). I used it full of gear for hiking on 4000m volcano.
Nice demo, but tell your lady to stay away from the edges of those rocks. Occasionally the rocks break off. One slip or off-balance can lead to disaster. Like the little girl who fell off of Angel's Landing in Zion National Park last year. Just concerned for her safety.
Pretty sure you can actually change the position of the tracking location by pressing and holding the track location (which is defaulted to the centre of the frame) and then dragging it to another location. At least I can do that on my Mavic Pro (original video).

Mavic pro or generally drones are expensive as hell....as a video creator u have to shit ur self when flying these things coz one of them cost 3 months of hardwork salary combined (at least for me)

Great content, saw your channel for the first time today while deciding on a gimbal to replace the glidecam HD4000 setup. Peak Design Everyday 30, is pretty good. I used to use thinktanks til I came across PD gear, now most of my gear uses PD gear for one seamless setup on the arca system.

It would be cool if you could designate attitude and distance to subject based off the x and y axis. So first 10 seconds 30ft 7 o'clock 10ft off ground, then swing right on x axis to 3 o'clock 15ft off ground then swing around front of subject to 10 o'clock same altitude. 😉 great video thx

I just bought the Mavic 2 pro a while ago. And I was tracking a bike on a highway using the controller. I forgot to check on the tree and the active sensors delayed on detected it. The drone crashed. None of the sensors are working. There is a dent and breakage on front sensor. Others look fine. I've ordered new sensors and will be fixing it with the help of RU-vid video. I'm just not sure. If damage to 1 front sensor would make it stop the rest of the sensors to work.
I crashed my mavic 2 pro in similar situation while shooting a wrangler off-road, while the Jeep was climbing and the drone was automatically following it , it hits the edge of the mounting directly with its full speed. Moral of the story, never count on the automatic follow/tracking when there are obstacles
Just crashed this shit in active track 2 days ago. It crashed in a big column on 5km/h speed in active track safe mode, side sensors didn't worked waiting for DJI crash analysis otherwise $300 repair cost, useless shit
I think active track is great, but it's still not ready for prime time. I have personally had to use my DJI care for replacement because it's just not ready for prime time. I use the DJI for filming skiers. The active track constantly loses the skier in trees or other obstacles. It would be great if DJI would offer some type of bracelet or coin you can put in your pocket as a follow me back up to active track.
With regard to the tripod mount, on the bag: Ya don't put the whole tripod down trough the strap and fit one leg in the bottom. You simply put the head up through the strap far enough to then pull it down so the one leg seats in the bottom pouch.
Hey PJ! Why don’t you just remove one knuckle from each leg of the gorilla pod. That should give you that little extra room to fit the camera microphone better. Liked the video too! 😎👍🏻

I often travel in such an environment and I know how fast such things can happen. in the end it is not worth it
Speak to lowepro - I would definitely buy the Potato jet bag. I have both the Lowepro Tahoe BP 150 for a small bag option and the Pro tactic 450 for bigger needs. The protactic series overall I think are the best if you want to take a laptop also. Love the vids and congrats on 100k!
Nice video and review BUT... The cliff show is way more risk than it's worth. One slip and all that showmanship turns into a disaster. Too many have died already doing that. Please consider safety as the priority.
Buy a cheap 1" general purpose strap, with a buckle, from a 2$ shop. Slip it through the bottom of the shoulder straps at waist height and fasten at the front. When not using it to stabilise the bag, it's handy to grab and assist taking the bag off!
i dont get it, you purposely wanted to keep the drone so close to the ground with millions of objects and spend like half the duration of the video yelling out "OMG" and "heart attack"!?!?

Hey at 4.38 on your video were you question whether your drone detected the wooden beams you flew over...I can guarantee you it's crash detection cameras did see it because it was beebing away with the warning tones telling you it seen an obstacle in its way! lol Great video too I might add! 😁
It’s not budget friendly, but get a Lowepro protactic AW450. Holds my A7RII, Prime, tele, batteries, Mavic, remote, 5batts total, IPad or 17” laptop, filters, tripod, Pano-head, etc. PM me and I’ll shoot you an image of the way I have me gear stacked. Also, please shoot some 120p video from you MavicPro2. I’d like to know if it’s passable 1080p video. DJI has always sucked when it comes to high speed video. Aloha 🤙🏼
Did you notice whether or not it changed your camera settings when putting it in active track? On the Phantom 4 pro it always changes all of my iso and shutter speed when I put it in active track
