Warden Norton is easily one of the most underrated movie villains ever and played brilliantly by Bob Gunton. No big fancy Marvel suits and weapons and yadda yadda yadda. Just your classic narcissistic, evil, stone cold, sociopathic mental terrorist who has every aspect of the prisoners' lives by the balls. And it's always the irony that the people that play the most messed up characters are those you'd trust to leave your kids with over some of your blood relatives.

100%. He can play good guys and villains, tough guys and soft guys, scientist types and warriors, and is equally convincing every time. There are so few actors who can portray so well such intimidating characters (as the Kurgan), and yet play comforting characters (like his character in Earth 2). Great, great actor. The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai continues to be one of my favorite films, with a great cast. Highlander, of course, is classic. But he's just so good in every role he does.

Actually got to meet Clancy Brown during a trip to Vancouver, Canada in the early 2000s…We had taken a lift up to Grouse Mountain. While there, I noticed him standing at one of the overlooks checking out the city below. He was alone. At the time, for the life of me, I couldn’t remember his name. But I recognized him from movies I had seen (Pet Sematary 2 and Shawshank Redemption). I walked up to him and introduced myself, told him I really liked his performances in the aforementioned films. He smiled and asked if I liked any of his other work. I told him sure and mentioned a couple of others I could remember. He thanked me, asked if I wanted to take a picture or an autograph. I declined and said I just wanted to say hello and compliment him on his work. He didn’t seem surprised at all. He was really personable and approachable.

Number one most common question, people that were in something that became huge and iconic, was; "Did you know??" They keep asking that over and over, and no one knows. They would just hope something is accepted and liked. But it gets to the point, like I am watching the same interviewers over and over.

I thought his best scene in Shawshank was when he was going to throw Andy off the roof. This guy has been around for a long time. IMDB has him listed with 301 acting credits. That is a ton of work by anyone's standard. He played a lot of bad guy roles early in his career (probably because he was so good at them) but as he got older, started playing more sympathetic characters. He is an excellent actor and I've really enjoyed his work over the years. Appreciate the interview, thanks.

They, at the time, where doing one of their promotions, but a meal get a coke glass, another meal etc. Well at the time, they where doing one giving away vhs tapes and that’s how I saw 2 of the best movies I ever saw! Shawahank and A Few Good Men! I don’t do a top 10 list, my mind changes as often as the hands on a clock, but these two are in in that very group that are there and I can watch, any time and any point through the film!!
