All the places you can get to in a sailboat is crazy. All the places you cannot get to in a car, but can in the sailboat is just as crazy. Id pick the boat as well. The views are out of this world.

This is wonderful, and you two are lovely together (and your pups!). My Kim and I hope to have more sailing and inland yachting adventures over these next few years, we still have one daughter in high school, she’s homeschooling it now. She’s down to adventure, but we won’t go *too* far afield just yet.

I have to ask, is this common, for cruisers to hang trash in trees (or bushes) at every anchorage? Does this conform to your liberal sustainability and not fouling the Earth ideals? I am not impugning the artful offering to the shrine, more about what I saw hanging from that bush! But I do understand your intentions. Cruiser shrines are great as long as they are eco-friendly. No I am not a cruiser yet

Generally people use things they find on the beach, so it was already there. Sure, not as green as taking it to a proper trash or recycling facility, but generally they don’t add much to beach trash. And no, they are not in every anchorage, that is the only one we’ve seen.
