In 2004 my daughter Kate was born, and we were given the book by James Mayhew called "Katie In London" (see link below). In the story, a girl and her little brother Jack (we had a Jack of our own in 2006), visit Trafalgar Square with their grandma. Grandma falls asleep, and the Lion's of Trafalgar Square comes to life, and takes Katie and Jack on a tour of London.
The book was one we read to our Katie and Jack when they were young. We were visiting London in the summer of 2015. I knew that we would have not only have a Katie and a Jack but a Grandma as well!. So I decided to recreate the story. It was ambitious for three days in London. But we managed to recreate the 26 scenes in the book.
Here it is! Special thanks to Jennifer Davis Lalonde & Patrick Lalonde for the book way back in 2004, and to James Mayhew for writing this beautiful book... oh and for the Disney Store on Oxford Street for staying open late so I could buy my Trafalgar Lion.
Starring: Katie as Katie, and Jack and Jack, and Grandma as Grandma, and Grandpa as the Policeman.
