This hardly professional but one of the best hack videos I’ve ever seen. Your narration is clear & concise and the video has nothing unnecessary included. WELL DONE.
My #1 tip: do the loony tunes trick and cut through to the RIGHT SIDE of the park first. My experience is everyone always rushes to the left to do X2. So if you’re willing to wait for that ride until later in the day, you can do a whole bunch of rides with no lines, starting with Full Throttle (assuming it’s running), then go to Goliath, Scream and Twisted Colossus. Then just continue going counterclockwise and tackle all the DC themed rides located at the back of the park. If you’re hungry, you’ll be near the taco place. If you need to go, you’ll be at the clean bathrooms at West Coast Racers. By the time you’re at Samurai Summit, you can start doing the rest of the rides and hopefully everyone will have done those while you were doing all the others. And my one other tip is, the bathroom by in between Ninja & Superman is always never busy if you’re looking for some privacy.
I know I’m late, but this was helpful when I planned my trip in March. I was able to get on every major open roller coaster on a Spring Break Saturday by using some tricks, so thank you.
Hey I do recommend sitting in row row 4 right side on west coast racers idk why but you get a whole lot more airtime in the front and back and yes I’ve tried all of those rows multiple times and still have the same opinion
Super helpful video man! Going to magic mountain in a couple days for my Christmas present and I’m super excited since I’m not from the area. I’m impressed with how well spoken you are for being a younger person!
I have found your video very helpful. I am headed to MM with my family this weekend. Where can I get the spreadsheets you have created? I think they will be extremely valuable.
Thx you so much. I haven't been to SFMM in years. These tips were very helpful and made my day fun and super efficient. 🎢 •I recently went on a Thursday (winter hours) parking was a breeze, they didn't even check my bag at the front, bring your own lunch and drinks no problem! •No wait time or flash pass necessary for rides. It was Heaven. •I was done with the park around 2pm, so I Went on WC Racer, Tatsu, Viper and X2 for the 2nd time. Rode 13 rides/coasters total. 😊 •Closed: Wonder Woman, Riddler, Scream, Goliath, Full Throttle. •I took a screen shot of your seat hacks and tried it all out. It works, You arent kidding! Super crazy. I almost blacked out a few times haha! The G-Forces are insane! 👍
I am going to the Stats this July and I want to visit SFMM on July 6 or 7. Is it normaly busy in the park during that time? Otherwise I have to look at the Flash Pass..
In advance this is like a novel: Well, here’s what I can tell you. In summer weekdays it tends to be pretty crowded, but not overwhelming. It depends on what you want to get done. Without the flash pass, my guess is that you could probably ride all of the important coasters like X2, Twisted, and that stuff. Skip Scream, Riddler’s Revenge, Batman, and even Superman if needed. It also depends on the size of your group and what the goals of everyone else in your group is. Let’s say your a group of four, but one person doesn’t like rides or is too scared to go on a specific ride. That person can then wait in line for let’s say Tatsu and you guys meet him at the front of the line. It’s kind of like a less ethical human flash pass but whatever. Ok last thing, if the group is not too large like up to three people, I would spring for the gold flash pass. The platinum is just too expensive and that 30% wait reduction is not worth the $80+ more expensive it is. The bronze does nothing so don’t waste you money with it. Actually last thing, there are new signs on the lines of each attraction with a QR code and if scanned it takes you to the site where you can purchase a single pass for just that ride. It will say something like “If you want to ride X2 right now pay $25) or something like that. The longer the wait, the higher the cost. This is one way to keep costs down because really all your times gonna be taken up waiting for X2 which will have a 2 hour+ wait time, so it would be more economical to use that individual flash pass for the rides that have long lines if you know what I mean. Also, don’t buy the pass in advance ever. You still have to wait in the same line to buy and pick it up if pre-bought so it makes no difference. Plus, if you see the lines are short, then no need for a pass. Ok that’s all. To sum up I would get a gold flash pass unless your group is huge or it’ll break the bank.
@@magiccoasters7674 Thanks! I will just visit the park and see how busy it will be. Otherwise I will buy the Flash Pass. I only have one visit and I am not in the States every day!
Thanks for the great tips. I'm in LA in about two weeks and was planing to attend a theme park on a tuesday or wednesday. I was thinking about goint to Magic Mountain. Do you think it will be so crowded, that it is essential to buy a flash pass? I was also thinking about going to Universal/Disney/Knotts as alternatives, but they are more expensive. As a student I don't have a high budget :(
I think it depends on what you’re trying to get out of it. I personally would definitely recommend Six Flags over Knott’s or Disney and I think you should be fine without a flash pass or at least that is the most bang for your buck. In order to get an actually useful one, you would need the silver tier and that’s very overpriced. Hope that helps.
6:44 I remember seeing signs on various rides saying 'NO PREFERRED SEATING' so I'm not sure if this will work. I haven't been sense 2017, so I wouldn't know.
A bunch of rides have those signs. I have asked many times and they have allowed. Just ask nicely and the front is hard to ask for because on full throttle they load front to back and they don’t want people stacking up in the front row line. I usually ask for the back because they haven’t loaded that line yet or I get lucky for the front. If that makes any sense.
@@magiccoasters7674 Thanks. If I may ask, how many of the rides actually implemented the 'no preferred seating' policy? as in which rides allow you to choose your seat vs which ones don't?
Well, it depends on what you want and how much your willing to spend. I would skip bronze at all costs. It will save you no time and just waste your money. If visiting on a super crowded day (holiday, Summer Saturday), platinum may be recommended if in your budget but in most cases I would highly recommend the gold pass. It’s the most bang for your buck and it saves a ton of time.
Thanks! There is not a way to find out when the ride will open. The app will say though is it’s temporary closed which means it will probably open that day or if it’s just closed which essentially means there’s no hope.
1. Railblazer 2. Gold Striker 3. Patriot 4. Flight Deck 5. Demon 6. Grizzley That’s how I rank them personally. I’ll include this question in a Q&A so thanks.

6 months late but great video! I agree with everything you said, however for anyone reading the comments and planning a trip here are a few things I also find very useful. (also most of these work at pretty much every other amusement park) 1. A good tip for getting the rows you want on assigned seating, usually the younger employees will let you request the rows you want. If it seems like an older employee working it, I would just see how many people are in front of you and let enough people through so that you get placed in the row you want. (overtime you get to recognize the type of people that are more chill with seating, but from what ive found usually teenage employees care the least) 2. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings are the golden times. Even in peak july you can usually sneak in a few rides with less than 45 minute wait times if you get there early enough. 3. Make sure you have a good route, or else you will usually end up having to climb the hill a few times which gets real old after a while.
Facts. I think when asking for rows the most important thing is to just be nice about it. Don’t be overly aggressive and say please and thank you. Also thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Going to Magic Mountain was like going to heaven without having to die. So many options most cedar fair in parks not named cedar point only have about 4 decent coasters while Magic Mountains has 10 plus
I totally agree. Cedar Point has a great top 3 but after that the line up just dies. Magic Mountain has so many good coasters even after the the top 3 like full throttle and apocalypse. Hopefully a giga will come the park soon.
What's good my Man.....remember our Orion debate lol....I'm going to Long Beach in September for a cruise but when we get back from the cruise were going to MM We have the Old Six Flag platinum passes we got grandfathered in since we already had them when they did this insane change to the pass system. Anyways cant wait X2, Tatsu, and the Intimin launch i think its Superman are the rides i'm OD hyped for.... I Hope everything is good with you....#RideOn
