Acura ILX Rear Shock Replacement (Same as Honda Civic) 

ILX is a great car, very nimble and quick plus super economical. I have 2013. I highly recommend changing the transmission fluid every 30-40K miles and these. I did it on mine it only has 45K miles and car feels like new again. Will do the rear shocks next. Car rides very well on normal roads but when I hit bigger bumps at speed it reverberates into the cabin hard. I heard these can go 1/2 million miles with no issues with proper care.

great job! procedure wise next time bolt the shock in at the bottom and then lower the car into the hole at the top hole then put the bolt on the top and presto. From someone who has done the same thing before :)

I was thinking of taking my ILX to a shop that I trust to put in some coilovers. Thanks for showing us that it's easy enough to get to the rear shocks through the trunk.

Put the Allen wrench on the other side and you probably won’t need vice grips!

The shop has to test drive the car too. All that adds to the time.

Wrong way of doing it lol you have to put the washer first then the bushings
