So glad Acura included the Adv features with Aspec with the +22 RDX models. I have a 08 RDX 2.3T with +190,000 miles and it is still going strong. I was going to replace the 08 RDX with a 19 RDX; but, I test drove a 19 MDX hybrid on a whim and just couldn't pass that up (handed down the 08 RDX to my daughter).
Yeah you cannot lose either way. The MDX and the RDX are both beautiful cars. I would have gotten the MDX if it wasn't so much extra money. May think about upgrading to that one in the future
I never was a fan of digital speedometers most of the time. They refresh so slow and don’t update smoothly like an analog speedometer. Great video BTW.
Nice ride! I brought my 2020 MDX in for an oil change and tire rotation today and saw your EXACT SAME RDX in the showroom. Loved it! Would consider it but I really don’t drive mine much, have it 20 months and only have 5,500 miles on it. Not worth spending money on something that’s going to sit in the driveway. By the way, at 11:30 you didn’t block out your license plate. Good luck with the ride, I’m sure you are enjoying it! Thanks for the vid!
Thanks a bunch. Appreciate it. Yea I am loving it. The color combo is sweet! I like that MDX too. Would have got that one if I had the extra funds. Yea I know I noticed that with the license plate after I uploaded it and started getting views. I didnt want to take it down...
I have a 2021 RDX advanced and it has some standard features - HUD, adaptive dampers, heated steering wheel rear heated seats, enhanced sound insulation in the windows and a spare tire- that the Aspec doesn’t. The advanced lacks polished aluminum wheels that should be standard at this price point. The zero to 60 acceleration time is advertised as 5.6 seconds. I think this is pretty quick for a luxury mom & pop suv.
Yea there are definitely that are missing from each. I wish I had that HUD...😯 That 0-60 in sports + with paddle shifting, I got to about 6 or 7 seconds. Its toward the end of the video. But maybe im just slow on the shifting...
@@ElevateTechnology I’ve read that the car is quicker in sport mode letting the automatic shift. That said, it’s a great car for the money. To match its performance and features you’d be considering SUVs in the mid 50 to 60 thousand dollars range. I think the back up camera is of poor quality.
Nice review! You highlighted a lot of features about the car and Acura in general that a lot of reviewers fail to mention. Are you still loving the vehicle? Any complaints over the years?
I spent a few hours trying to set up the digital speedometer that did not exist, ughhhh! Also, ambient lighting is absent. Other than that I love this car.
@@ElevateTechnology quick question, I bought a CPO 2021 acura Rdx a-spec Only got one key fob and it doesn’t look like a key fob from Acura it’s wrapped in a red plastic and I can’t figure out how I would change the battery or pull out the key that’s built into it. Is this normal ?
Yeah the brake are very different in this acura I have owned alot of Acura and none of them break like that it a learning process like all car if u paying attention to characteristics of the car ✌️
Was watching the video and heard you say it doesn’t have a digital speedometer, that’s incorrect. I have the A-Spec RDX. Toggle your settings and it will pop up in the center of your dash, I leave mine on because just like you I hate looking at the dial would rather the digital speedometer. (Assume you found it by now since this video is a year old now)
All of them habe factory rear main seal issues. If car is not moving. And heat is on no ac you will! Smell faint oil vapours, inside and out of ur car. 19ilx, 2 ilx loaners, 21 tlx 2 loaners. Current rdx and 3 loaners all very bad same problem. Spread the word
This was a great review. I have the same exact one and everything you described is how I feel. Wish it had digital dash, I don’t like the track pad at all. Overall it’s nice but will definitely come out early.
Yeah it will brake for you. Almost scared the hell out of me. 😆 I don't like that they don't offer the Acura Link features for free. That turned me off from this car. The brakes do suck a bit and the take off jerks you. First and last one for me.
Yea I have experienced the brakes stoping for me like twice. It really does wait for the last second. My auto start expired the beginning of the year. I thought my app was messed up. Took ne like a week to figure out I have to pay again
how is the bass level or customizability of the sound settings? also, have you thought or looked into getting ambient lighting for the interior? im in the mark to get a RDX A-Spec but the car market is high.
The bass and sound is nice (8 out of 10). It has 3D sound which is cool but its not going to knock your socks off. I was recently in an Audi Q5 2019 & a Ford Explorer 2020 that knocked just as hard if not harder. I haven't gotten a chance to dig into the customizability of the sound settings yet but will and hit you back.
Ironically, the Acura is an American made car, by an American company (owned by Honda, founded in America in 1986, my birth year, ironically), designed and assembled sub-assemblies (Engine, trans, etc) in America. Not Japan---where it has never been sold. Wild but true.
Great content. Getting the car Monday. A spec advance. Would you recommend taking wheel and tire protection on it? Any issues with a slightly lower profile tire and potholes? Thanks
Hi, just ran across your page and just wanted to say do you think the gas mileage on the cars are good because I just bought a 2021 RDX from Acura and the gas mileage every time you put gas in it it just eats up so fast within days the gas is gone. Please give me your opinion. Thank you
Great review! I have a 21’ model and just saw on the 22’ they come standard with the digital speedometer. I saw your HUD on that care was installed cleanly and I didn’t notice any wires? Was it wireless or did you just hide the wires?
Thanks appreciate it! Digital speedometers was a definite miss. It is indeed wired. Just tuck the wire behind the dashboard. Wasnt too involved to install.
@@ElevateTechnology oh yeah, I just like that specific grey metallic color. They don't allow that combination. I'd have to get white, silver, or black as the exterior color. Also, you have a link to that Acura logo spot light you added?
I have the same one but white my problem is I feel like there some wrong with the gas or I’m not sure is lik super slow like is being force to accelerate I tried different gas stations everything
Got them off amazon. Something like these: 2Pcs Universal For Wireless Car Door Logo Light LED HD Welcome Courtesy Ghost Shadow Projector Lamp Fit for MDX,RDX,ILX,TLX,TSX,TL,RLX,ZDX Series www.amazon.com/dp/B08GX1WZ6F/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_6SVSYY2VJEVMZNYKXM90?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
No wireless charging, no hud, no 360 cameras or eagle view, no auto pilot driving, the adaptive cruise control is retarded sometimes, engine is too loud, gas mileage is not the best, doesn’t brake in case of a collision, we were expecting more but we bought one anyways
Yeah, that’s true. There were definitely some shortcomings with this vehicle. Things I would’ve expected but for what it is it was a pretty good buy. Don’t regret it 1 bit. It does break in case of collision. I’ve noticed a few times but it’s really at the last split second.
Nice! To disable the system Pull and hold the headlight lever toward you for about 40 seconds, until the indicator flashes twice. To enable the system Pull and hold the headlight lever toward you for about 30 seconds, until the indicator flashes once.
The A-Spec model doesnt have the 360 cam. Wish it did. I rented a Ford Explore a month or so back. It really came in handy when verifying you are evenly in parking stalls.
