Watching your video, it made me reminisce about the XLR8 cat back exhaust. I had it with the Vibrant resonators and it was perfect. Nice backfire pops and no cabin drone.
Congrats on the new addition to the family. I think you’ll probably be ok with the off brand muffler; regardless of brand or materials a lot of them produce the same audible results. It may not survive as many of your harsh winters as a stainless Magnaflow or Vibrant etc. muffler but will likely sound just fine. The good thing is in my opinion J series engines sound good in general so it’s hard to actually make a J powered car sound bad.
@kennethpowers8995 thanks man! I think it'll sound good too, if not it'll be easy to change and at least everyone else can have an idea what it sounds like.
Congratulations on the newborn man! On the note of the brakes I ordered EBC slotted rotors and yellow stuff pads, and the shipping took a while… ordered the fronts one day then the rears the next day, so when I got an alert that some parts shipped the front pads and rear rotors came in… then a week and a half later was the front rotors and rear pads, but I ordered through ATLP which ordered from EBC. Was annoying waiting but they’re soo worth it!
@christiansincich7226 yah I've been hearing EBC is the problem lately and are taking forever to get their product out. I'm assuming cause it's such a popular brand now.
Congrats on the kid! Always remember never get this time back so anytime you don't feel like doing this or that with the kid. Just know we are kids for almost no part of our life. I have two daughters. Nothing like that. Father daughter Bond if I can have one wish it would be to go back and do it all over again but I wouldn't want them to be babies like 3-2 years old somewhere around there I'd be fine with but like I said just enjoy every moment you can because before you know it they'll be adults and I think parents take too much credit and too much blame. I believe we are who we are if my kids were in the same environmental factors meaning the same type of neighborhood. Same type of school but they had crappy parents. They would be the same people or if they had the best parents in the world, they'd be the same person
I definitely wanna be there as much as can, time flies and I don't wanna miss it. On the other hand, my goal is to create wealth so he doesn't have to work his life away like I currently am haha.
I second this comment… it’s a Known issue with j series motors. Had mine slow crank just like that with a new battery.. if the starters getting warm quickly after starting that’s another sign to look for. They aren’t terrible to change
Over the last ten years in my family I’ve had a 3g tl, a 2015 odyessy and a 13 accord v6 coupe had failed starters at some point… the accord only had about 90k on it
@abutler645 a fellow multiple j series owner, and yes indeed. When mine went out on my 3rd gen recently it actually showed no sign up until it failed. It actually did show a sign In the form of a subtle clattering sound upon startup that I didn't realize was the starter until after I got the new one. It had 175k appeared to be the original starter.
interesting to hear about the tdot story. bought from them once and my order also got cancelled due to out of stock. glad i didn't get the same missing items treatment.
1:04 there is a chance your starter is dying.. if i turned off my engine and then turned it on soon after, sometimes it wouldnt start on the first press. 1 year later, it just completely died one day, had to tow it (somehow couldnt push start it with clutch)
@PREMIUM-hu2rc rv6 pcds, plm jpipe to oem catback. I cut out oem resonators and replaced with vibrant ultra quiet Resonators, and replaced mufflers with Borla Ataks Part #400850 with dual 4"quad tips
the situation with the brakes is bullshit. that is a perfect example of what should not happen when ordering from a company online. as for the single exit, if the amazon muffler sounds bad, i’d try going with the vibrant TPV muffler, it’s about 275 US for it but it sounds amazing, Leo had the 3 inch straight pipe down to the Vibrant on his SHAWD and i have that setup on my 9th gen 6-6 and it sounds absolutely beautiful!
Yeah, I did love the sound of his. I just want to try different setups that nobody else has tried yet. I was going to try the HKS one cause it had 4.5" tip or possibly the Jackspania Racing one if the Amazon one doesn't sound good.
@@RevsALot okay… I’ll close to finishing my build I need to find someone who can tune Acura’s. You think he can tune for higher compression pistons as well as ported internals? So far those are the things I’m worried about finding for tuning
@WhiteDiamondTL you can dm and ask someone questions and see how you feel. I chose him cause he owns a 4G and seems very knowledgeable and was very helpful. He also does unlimited revisions, so you don't have to keep paying for new tune every mod.
Hey i got the 4th gen TL aswell, i have a crackle tune on it however it is not doing any justice with a stock exhaust. Should I remove muffler? Resonator Or go catless?
@RevsALot it happened to me last week. Car would just click. Thought i messed aomething up. The battery tie down was a bit lose and allowed the battery to move and the positive terminal to loosen up.
Check for corroded ground connections too, and the wires going to the starter. Time and exposure to the elements will cause corrosion regardless of mileage
