I finally added the RV6 HFPC to my setup. It flows soo much better, also my gas mileage as gone up.

Lol 😆. Maybe try new spark plugs it may lower the knock control. I was thinking my k.Cont is lower maybe because I had Acura replace my piston and rings due to the oil consumption.

@@GarrettMedia I got oil consumption rebuild also maybe 20k miles ago along with new plugs about 15k miles ago. I noticed with the 2nd revision on my etune it went way up.

You're not alone. Mine stays around 1.02 to 1.08 after my tune. I asked the tuner if that was normal and apparently he says it good. not sure about that but it is what it is. 🤷 😅

Thanks Cameron 🙌! If you’re looking for a bit of power get the RV6 jpipe if you have the shawd version that deletes the 3rd cat. That jpipe with high flow cats should give you some more power and still sounds like a stock exhaust system. This TL made 283 whp / 263 wtq after a custom tune. With also ported intake manifold, throttle body, lower runners and 410cc RDX injectors.

Yeah, I usually disable the downstream O2 sensors with my tuning software anyways, in the case that my HFPC’s do decide to trip a code, which is very likely. Even before I was tuned, I would use the included 90-angle O2 sensor simulators, and once in a blue moon, the P0420 code CEL would still be tripped and then go away intermittently.

The valve lash is off so much it sounds like a diesel

No need to mess with the cats. The jpipe will bolt right up to stock cats and stock cat back exhaust

No not yet but I’m sure it’ll get a bit louder. I’ve heard one with a resonator and muffler deletes it actually sounds pretty good

As long as they dont throw the cel it should be good but it depends on the car, even if its the same make/model. Sometimes a spacer helps

A tune would help out a lot after installing those mods. But it’s not necessary

You can start off by replacing the spark plugs, also try a higher octane fuel like 93

No need for a custom tune for this set up. You’ll just be freeing up chained up horsepower

I was on acurazine reading and the rv6 jpipe longtube yield the most power supposedly that’s why I got it.

Getting tuned after is what you’d want to do so it’s tuned for that jpipe

Tune is not necessary. The more bolt ons you have then a tune would be necessary

He got them from RV6 performance website but I just heard that they go bad often due to the fact that the material inside goes bad. Not too sure what the warranty is like

The rv6 high flow cats with the jpipe makes it just a tiny bit louder. Nothing that’s obnoxious.

It’s normal for any engine to make some kind of noise. A good sounding engine sounds similar to a sowing machine 😉.

3rd gens are also capable just have to install bolt ons on intake and exhaust side
