Back in lockdown in Auckland NZ with my daughter who recently arrived home from 6 years living and working in London - and we discovered you!!! what an absolute treat - we've watched all your RU-vid videos - all your trips, renovations etc and you and your 'Employee of the Month" and fur babies, have kept us well and tru;y entertained - adore your style, and albeit I'm older and considerably 'fuller figured" than you, aspire to the blazer, basic white Tee's and linen wardrobe content - So miss being able to shop John Lewis - so thrilled by this collaboration
I love how sage green is the dominant color throughout this video ❤️ definitely will go hunt that trousers and the racer back! Beautiful selections for autumn, Emma!
A very detailed video on all items makes it clear the versatility of each piece - thank you just in time for this 59 year olds Staycation next week filled with ideas off to start packing and putting outfits and accessories together
Yup….I love over sized shirts! Sooo many ways to wear and a MUST in my wardrobe! Sunglasses play a huge role in my fashion. I own around 10 pair…different looks for different outfits. I agree with you on light wash jeans. They definitely are more flattering with black tops and accessories. Add a black blazer and you have a chic little outfit that is just perfect for most occasions. For more casual, street style look, I throw on my canvas sneakers/trainers….always a very comfy choice! For a quick up style, exchange my sneakers for a pair of black pumps and pull my hair back into chic low bun and carry a small structured bag or clutch.
I know right! So fun to see. I didn’t follow Emma in the beginning. When I saw some of the older videos I was like , wait… what?? I have been super influenced by her videos and love of neutrals.
Hi Emma! I would like to say thank you for all your great tips! I used to hate shopping for clothes,as I had no idea what looked good on me or even what I liked wearing. But now I use your three colour "rule", no patterns, and mostly neutrals, and it has been a blessing! I have found my style! Now I enjoy putting my outfits together, I have much more confident and I feel great. Thank you so much for sharing ❤
Absolutely great advice, Emma! I’m all about the transition clothes right now. Love how you styled the big white shirt. I’ve been doing similar things, layering up oversized shirts, and I love the look and versatility. Thanks for all the ideas! 💕
I love a knit dress, but I like a more open neckline, V, square, etc. I wear them at home constantly, and usually add a belt to give shape when I go out. Last winter there were many great ones offered, I’m hoping to get a white one soon.
Thanks Emma, I loved this. I love those sun glasses. I have an autumn holiday down in Dorset, so this looks will be great. Especially those nippy mornings. 😎
I really liked the flared t-shirt dress. Usually I’m not a fan because they’re often too short and too straight. I’m also a sunglasses fan and have accumulated a lot of pairs over the years.
Hi Emma! Love the Kin trainers and the sage green is so becoming on you. Also, the trousers, which give off the Marlene Dietrich vibe of the '30s ❤. XO for the "B" babies!
Hey Emma! I just discovered you and I love your content 🙂 You wear lovely blazers here in there in your videos, so I was wondering if you could do a video focusing on blazers? Like which blazer is needed for which season (fabric-wise, colour-wise) etc.
Nailed it once again and you have me sage green (literally wearing that shade right now and get so many compliments on this top) with envy over here as it was 93 today. 😂Bring on Fall! Scarves, coats, bags, boots, the leaves changing…I’d happily skip Summer. Thank you, Emma! Well done!
Love the idea of taking your wardrobe through to the next season 🤩 I live in Brisbane so my wardrobe is year round. The only thing I don't do is wear my linen jumpsuits in winter... And that's really only because I wore them so much through summer they need a rest 🤣
Hi Emma, I love your style and all your videos. I love my sunglasses too. I spend a lot of of time outside. I get migraines and have sensitive eyes. I love to play with sunglasses. Cheers from Canada!
Hello first video with first coffee, the best way to start sunday 😉👍 This green throusers are so chic and versatile it could be a master piece! I've never seen a video for "gently sliding" between summer and autumn THANK YOU ! Bises de France 😘
Loved this video. Perfect for right now as summer seems to have completely gone, but is still kinda warm. I am in love with the Reiss bag. Perfect size
LOVED this video Emma! About to go away finally for a long weekend in September and this has really helped me think about what to pack!! Classic as always! 💛
I just bought a linen long flowy skirt in olive green and a top to wear with my Fall boots...also a loose unstructured blazer so will look for more of the lighter sage to wear with those and my lighter neutrals too.
Hi Emma, so glad I see you with sage green. Personally I love all shades of green, especially for automn, but sage green is in my preference colour. Those canvas trainers are beautiful got to see if they ship to Portugal now that Brexit is here for good. I've just returned from Copenhagen and saw those brands you've been showing us for some time.. Arket, Sand, Moncler that I don't find here in Portugal and everywhere I looked it reminded me of you 😊 Thank you for sharing another amazing inspiring video
As always ultra practical, I can never just move summer clothes away but this video will help me see what I can take forward and the pieces that I need to support this transitional phase. Loved you had a coab with John Lewis. More, more more please. X
Yes you could definitely switch out the footwear for some loathers if you were that way incline. Im sure there will be a lot of loathers featured here and on insta over the coming months ❤️
Hello Emma! Your videos are amazing! Having my tea this Sunday morning in Montreal and a fantastic way to start the day while watching your video. Love the sage green! THANK YOU for these great ideas! You have help me a lot with my outfits from Aritzia.
Some lovely items especially the Jigsaw trousers. Will you be doing a video on chunky jumpers in the Autumn? I’m looking forward to them arriving in the shops!
Hopefully there will be lots of jumper inspiration throughout the autumn content but Im sure there will be also be something a little more dedicated too ❤️
Brilliant video Emma! Thanks for doing a John Lewis collaboration today. I’ll be off to JL in the Grand Arcade, Cambridge in an hour or two to try the sage green dress and the trousers under my Emma Hill blazer. Definitely a Happy Sunday! xxx
can you do a video on how to source casual slacks?! i've been wearing jeans for decades and rather wear chic slacks but having trouble finding casual chic, not a work wear
Trousers are so much more comfy. Have you sat in your 99% cotton jeans lately?! I'm dead lol especially with the covid 20 hanging around my tummy. Love your style Emma! You always inspire me. Oh, and I just had to share. My second hand but grand win yesterday? The softest cashmere sweater worth over 800 dollars new (I'm guessing BC of the brand) I got for 9 dollars at a thrift (charity) shop! :) I know you're proud lol Xos from Canada!
I love your style Emma! Your advice is always spot on and can be used for a variety of people 😊 do you think the feline sunglasses are good with respect to sun protection?
I love the printed label on the black Whistles tee. Labels can be a real torment, I often end up cutting them out, but then I lose all the information, brand, size, etc.
Great vid Emma. Could you do a video of jeans, i haven't bought a pair of branded jeans for a long time since my weight have been fluctuating lol a bit with age ( menopausal) so I've just bought jeans from H&M, weekday etc. But now I seem to have stabilised and want to in invest in better jeans but have no idea of what brands to look for. I'm 5.11 so my jeans have to be 34" length. Sending love from Sweden.
Me, seeing you straight away and loving the beige jumper and thinking yes this is the perfect Autumnal piece but then clicking on the link and seeing the price 🤯🙈😩 it’s beautiful though, as is the black one. Love the khaki trews ❤️
It wasn't intentional unfortunately 😂 I just haven't been able to get to the hairdresser since lockdowns started, so its just my last colour grown out 😂 but I am loving it and embracing it, so thank you. But normally I go to Sassoon on Kings Rd 👍
Thank you Emma for all content. In this Covid times, do you Lysol desinfect your bags when you get home? I have not wear any blazers or purses since the pandemic started. I only take my lunch bag :(
A linnen trousers in fall (the thicker woven 1s, not the super light almost seethru) even going into winter with a legging underneeth. For layering summertees i always use my older 1s (for under a lightknit sweater, so my good 1s have longer to live next summer & .... ) the good tees for under a trench yes. Like you show here. Bags a true summer bag : wicker etc... not wearing in fall , a canvas doesn't have that "true & only for summer feel" so i would wear that too. If your into floral dresses (the light & bright ones i would not wear in fall, the darker colored ones i would like a neutral with lets say a dark brown in? Yes paired with over the knee boot so when you move you can't see where the boot stops) and a long knit vest or trench (that all depends an how cold & dry or rain or not rain) The dress (offwhite/black squares you have Emma) that with a thight fitted black or a offblack underneed and a black boot finish with a blazer or trench or light wool dustercoat. Or swap the black for a ritch brown.....or a knit over the dress so it looks like a skirt
Hi Emma - what size did you go for in the black Whistles t-shirt? I have this one and got a S - I think I should have bought a M (even though I'm 8-10) as I find them a little short unless wearing high waisted and maybe for a more relaxed fit, this would have been better! I love the texture of this tshirt though and have it in white too :)
It really depends on the item. For example the shirt I show here is already oversized so you can stay true to your normal size and it will already have the oversized fit. Whereas sometimes things fit a little more snug and so you may need to upsize for an oversized look, depending on the style you are looking to achieve 👍
