I also put together a blog post if you want to check that out over on the blog www.daintydressdiaries.com/2021/03/what-is-a-cricut-machine-and-which-one-is-best.html 👍🏼 I hope you find this video useful, Iv tried to make it as informative as I could.
You are such a genius beast Miss Catherine! And oh what a breath of fresh air for my crummy day lol that was a brilliant description of everything & I just love love love all the goodies you make! I’d love to see a video on how to make that fabric tote! Gorgeous!!! Have a blessed week! Much love to you 😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
In Australia we say "Mummy" or "Mum." Thank you again and found this footage really useful and hope to purchase the Cricut Machine and other equipment such and the press as well.
I loved this. I don't have any plans to buy a cricut machine anytime in the future, but I could literally listen to Catherine talk all day long. The way things are explained in a simple, easy way makes things so easy to follow. I do have to admit, I think I will be making myself and my daughter a cute pouch in the near future tho. Too adorable! Here in Minnesota (USA), I have always referred to my mother as "mom". My daughter generally calls me Mum. Its just what she's always said, and I like it. Great video Catherine!
I’m so glad I watched this. I’ve had my maker for 18 months and had no idea there was a hidden storage tray in the front panel, couldn’t believe it when you showed it! Thank you!
Canadian here too. Mommy when little, mom/mum as I got older. And then to tease her, Muz. Mum was an awesome seamstress who sewed nightly always with her iron propped up on her ironing board behind her. To start she would iron each pattern piece then pressed every seam along the way.
I called my mother Mommy and Ma (cos I'm from the USA and my mother was first generation American - I grew up hearing her call my Irish grandmother Ma :-)) Loved the video - love all the crafts. I started with a Silhouette Portrait and then bought the Cameo 3. (bigger projects!) There's a bigger learning curve with Silhouette (than Cricut) but I'm very happy with it. You are going to have the crafting time of your life and we can't wait to see what you make. Thanks for another fun video.
My daughter-in-law has the Cricut thingie and loves it and started a small business. She's told me about it but with them living over 700 miles away... Well i didn't understand until you demonstrated what the thing did. 😊👍💕 Here we say Mom, Mother or Mommy. I called mine Mom. Treasurer your Mammy Catherine. I lost my Mom 10 years ago and I miss her so much. God Bless you and your Mammy. 🙏❤
This is one of the easiest to follow straight to the point Cricut videos I've seen & I've watched a lot of them! That's your talent though - you simplify the confusing. Thank you!
Love the video! Thank you for demonstrating it, I just purchased the Cricut Joy, we live in a very small condo so I couldn’t have anything big. It’s still in the box I’m going to open it this week. I called my mother “ma”, she passed twenty years ago, I wish she was still with us! Enjoy your new Cricut & I hope you share lots of your Cricut projects with us, I really enjoy your videos, I have been following for about a year now! 🍀🍀🍀
In the Philippines, traditionally we call our mother “Nanay” but more family use “Mama”. I’m going to get the same cri cut printer on my birthday 🥳. Thanks for the video ❤️
I call mine, mum, she’s in the UK, unfortunately have not visited home in a couple of years. My American kids call me mommy/mom but I often correct them! I do like the sound of mummy!! Great gadget..lots of fun projects to enjoy.
I am so happy to see you got a Cricut machine. I’ve had mine for a few years now and love it. I bought the Maker first, then my sister gifted me the Explore Air 2, and then I bought the Joy. I use the Joy for small projects and making cards,. It’s so easy. I also have the Easy Press and the easy Press 2. I hoping to get the mini this year, as it can really help with adhering small pieces. The Cricut mug press is so great, I love decorating mugs, Can’t wait to see what projects you will share. Enjoy!!!
Aw fab! Yes, I seen Christina from DIY mommy with the mug press and I was like “oh yes” I think I might buy that, but need to think “will I use it much”
Omg,can’t believe you got a circut. Ive been checking them out on line for the last 8 months trying to figure out which one to buy. I had just settled on the joy and now saw your video and am back to square one 😱 I think for the extra money the circut maker is probably the best choice! My laptop is old so have to consider an up grade, great video as usual and by the way I call my mother Mam, I look forward to your videos every week, keep up the good work ❤️
Fun video! The Cricut is something I may have to get. My daughter has one and loves it. I live in the U.S. and say, “Mom”. When I was a child I said, “Mommy”.
Wow! A Cricut sponsorship. Way to go! And you did them proud I might ad. Your videos are always so well done. It was so nice of Cricut to make their machine just the right colors for your home and your style.I bet your mammy loved the bag. Two cheeky thumbs up, one for Blondie. 👍👍❤️🐱🇺🇸☘️🌸
I’m Latina in my family we call my mother, mamita. If you translate means little mom, but the sentiment is more like sweet precious mother. I love your channel, happy spring and may your Mother have an awesome day.😀
Well I'm pleased to see this! I have both a cricut explore and maker for my business. A tip. When you pull off the heat transfer film after heating. Pop a bit of baking paper over the design and press again. It stops it coming off in the wash and apply pressure too! Also you need a heat mini press it will blow your mind!
Catherine you have done it again, another great tutorial! I got a Cricut Maker for Christmas and have yet to open it. I have watched many of your DIY’S so I’ve seen that sometimes you struggle with instructions like I do.😉 I am now ready to begin using it, so thank you. You have also gave me courage to sew a zippered bag. Zippers were a little scary too. So... today you inspired me in two ways. You be blessed and please keep on sharing. I’m from the state of Montana in the US children usually call their mothers Mommy, adults usually say Mom. The “o” would be the same as awe is pronounced. That is if you pronounce awe the same way we do. 🤣🤣🤣
Mostly Mum or Ma, occasionally Mumsie and sometimes Ag or Aggie, as her middle name is Agnes. Never really thought about it before! The Cricut looks fantastic and it’s really useful as a beginner, you can take us through the different steps. A lot of people whizz through as they use them a lot and it is second nature. Look forward to seeing more projects! 🤞🏻Kind regards from Penny in Liverpool 🇬🇧😊💕
So Cool Catherine!!!! what an amazing machine. LOVE it!!!! and also the pouch its lovely. In Italian we say Mamma, and in Australia it's Mum. THANK YOU for sharing. Jo xx
I was excited to see this RU-vid. I bought myself a Brother scan n cut in December, I haven’t used it yet, I’ve watched countless RU-vid’s and still haven’t taken the leap. I would love the Cricut Easy press though they are quite expensive here in Australia. I’m hoping my iron will still work for the projects. The Brother is ideal for me as I need to use it autonomously as I don’t have wifi in my craft room and unable to use my laptop..
Hi Catherine, I bet you were so excited getting the Cricut, you will be able to craft so many different thing’s. I called my mother mum or mam (Welsh). Enjoy using your machine, looking forward to seeing what you make. Your mammy’s bag was lovely, I bet she was pleased 💖 Have a lovely weekend 😊
What a great video Catherine. I asked my husband to get me a Cricut for Christmas, then changed my mind. I'm regretting that now as it looks so much fun. Love "Mammy's" pouch. I used Mum but, my daughter calls me Mumma and my sons call me mum. Hope Mammy has a lovely day and virtual hug to you both. As you know, watching your videos is my cozy time. Already looking forward to the next one. 👍🙂 xxx
Awww love it Karen ❤️ you could try out the Joy? That’s one is the cheapest machine of the bunch, handy if you just want to do vinyls 👍🏼 thanks for sharing, I hope you’ve a lovely evening x
I honestly believe you will be an excellent marketing person for cricut.i do not have one and it is on my whish list but for the first time i do understand how everything work.and this is super awesome.so cricut please give Catherine the big promotion.
SO EXCITING 🤩 I bought a Cricut Maker a few weeks ago but I haven’t unboxed it yet - I’m waiting until I retire in 5 weeks!! I can’t wait to have some fun. I LOVE the bag you made your Mammy 💞
I love all your videos but I’ve never clicked on your thumbnail so quickly before, it was perfect timing for us as we’ve just bought a cricut for crafting and fundraising projects - love your pouch idea, simple but so effective. Hope to see some more projects soon 😊
@@DaintyDiaries absolutely. My daughter and I can’t wait to get started, but like you we initially felt a little overwhelmed by everything. My office/craft room is coming along nicely so this is one of the first things we’ll be trying 😃 x
I used to call my mother, “Ma.” She’s passed on 20 years ago. But, here in California USA, mom and mommy are what my kids call me. 😊. Congrats on your new Cricut Maker! 🤩💃🏻💚
Oh I have wondered about these machines. What fun! I use to call my mother, Mom or Ma. When I saw Mammy I immediately thought of Mrs Browns boys 😀 love that show. Take care and stay safe and have fun creating.💚
This upload cheered me right up today. Fatigued and in pain, up comes your video for cricut machine and sewing and I’m beaming 😁 can’t wait to get one now. Thank you for cheering me up.
@@DaintyDiaries do you by any chance have fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue? It’s a personal question so feel free not to answer, no offence will be taken 👍
@@rainbowvisionart8025 No i don't but I did do a blood test over Winter and it came back as low on Vitamin D and I started taking a supplement, two months later and I feel much better x
A perfect demo on what this awsome machine can do! I recently brought the air 2 and i was so scared of it! Now i tell it what to do 🤣 Here in Australia my girls call me MUMMMMMMM!, but its nicer when they call out Dad, because otherwise i have to stop playing with my cricut and help them! Love your stuff girl x
Love love the cricut machine 🤩 We tend to shout Mummeeee or Ma at the same time as waving or stamping as we all are Deaf! When one of us are upstairs or downstairs, we tend to flick the light switch on and off repeatedly until we come face to face! Sometimes we bang on the walls... my poor neighbours as we live in terraces housing 😁 but luckily they’re don’t mind 🙂 x
Happy Mother's Day 💚 to Ur Mammy and ALL the Mammy's out there!🍀 We say Mami Amma...😊 its awesome that U got Cricket machine heard n seen great diys would love one but felt some what intimidated by it, U made it look sooo easy totally thinking about getting!!!👍
Wow I want one. 😀 I love the circuit and the easy press. I need to start making a Birthday list. Catherine you are so good and explaining how to use or make things.
Ahhh you got a digital crafty cutter! These are a complete game-changer, aren't they? I've got a rival brand cutter, but it works practically the same and it is amazing how much you can do with them! I've just been making cake toppers out of card for my friend who bakes cakes. Haven't tried fabric cutting yet, but it's on my list. Love the sound of the easy press...maybe I need to invest in one of these. Also, love how your project turned out...lucky mammy! xoxo
Aw fab! Your cake topper sounds amazing! I literally got overwhelmed with the amount of things you can make, I go down rabbit holes of videos and I’m like “wow” 🤣 and I get craft paralysis and make nothing, I want to do some tee shirt pressing, might make some for my neice and nephew. Thanks for watching ❤️❤️❤️
@@DaintyDiaries I am down that rabbit hole with you 😂 Every new project, you will be thinking, can I add anything with my cutter 😂 Lucky niece and nephew! I know it is only March but I am thinking matching PJs for Christmas is a project to be done on mine!🤶🎄😂 Thanks for another lovely video! Have a nice weekend! xoxo
Well great minds think alike. I got a Silhouette Cameo 4, just got all my supplies and will working on it tomorrow. I still plan on getting a Cricut to use to cut out my artwork as stickers while my Cameo is cutting out vinyls ☺️. The list is endless!! Now here in the U.S. we say it all! Lol! I say Mom but my Mom calls her mom “Mommy.”
Lovely pouch looks like fun we say mum or mummy here in Australia my sister made it into a little business making so many items nice pillows with names on them and personalised birthday tshirts
I have the explore air 2. It also cuts fabric, you just have to put the interface on it before cutting. The difference here in the U S. Was about 250.00! So I wanted the Maker, but went with the Explore Air 2. Too much money! In the U.S. it depends on where you are from, what you call your Mother. Here, we say Mom. Sometimes I say Mother. In the New England/ New York area, they say Ma.... with the accent that comes out Maaa lol. Glad you got a Cricut. They are fun and the projects are endless. I got an actual Tshirt press instead of the Cricut one. It does Tshirts, hats (like baseball caps), and mugs and plates! Maybe I'll do a craft fair one day! Hope you love it! Hugs, Deb
As an expat pommy we called our Mother Mum then we emigrated to Australia and my Dublin born Dad and Aunty and Gran came too. They lived with us and with Dad and aunty calling my Gran Ma or Mammy it got confusing very quickly so they got called whatever came out at the time.So sometimes Mum became Ma and Gran became Mum you get the idea ha ha ha . Just like to say love your channel and love listening to the accent as they are all passed now x
This is funny, I just got my Cricut. I wanted the rose but it was out of stock. So I settled with the blue. I couldn't resist it was 80$ off. I'm so glad you are doing a demo. I unpacked mine but haven't connected it yet. I bought the explore air 2. My daughter calls me mom as do two of my sons. My oldest son calls me mama.
Hi I'm in Yorkshire and we say Mam. Thanks for the video I have a Cricut but was scared to play with it incade I broke it but your tutorial is brill. I also love the look of the Easy Press. Love Washington videos. X
I say Mother...sometimes Mama. Thanks for the tutorial! I just ordered my Cricut Explore 2 this week and can’t wait for it to arrive. I was really worried about understanding it, but you make it look so easy, I’m now more excited than anxious! My granddaughter (17 yrs old) is already making plans for what we will do with it! Thanks for ALL your lovely vlogs. I look forward to them every week!
Sold! I have been sooo cricut confused, you’ve made things much clearer for me. In Australia when little we say mummy and gradually turns into mum or ma. My kids call me me ma, mother and Bob! (No idea why the Bob, in return I call her Bob, again for no reason 😆
Loving this. I dont understand why I dont get notices of your new videos. I have to keep searching for you. Which is OK, I'm a fan! Just yhought being a subscriber I'd get updated soon as you post.
Oh you are making me want a cricut for more crafting now hahaha. Love the pouch you made. The fabric colors are gorgeous. And I'm Canadian, most call their mother's Mom. I have always called her Ma as it was easier to get her attention only in public as everyone else shouts mom haha.
That’s a great video. I was looking at you tube videos about this last week . I make cards and already have a die cutting machine. But I can see you can do lots of designs with it . Lovely vlog as always. Xxx
Thank you so much, I've been wanting to purchase a Cricut but didn't know which one to choose and now I know the "Maker" would be perfect for me. Thank you again ❤ In the USA we say 'Mommy'
I was the same way! I have the middle Cricut..air 2. It all makes me crazy about what to make first! We call ours Mom here in the US. It sounds the same as your pronunciation of Mammy.
Growing up in Zimbabwe we always said mum or mummy. My son says mom, his dad is American, they draw the accent of the 'o' out more. European/English accents say it short and quick. But most people from Africa would say umama and my Jewish good friend says Ima! I love how we are all so diverse!!
I have been aware of Cricut machines but was entirely ignorant of their function until now. As soon as you mentioned cutting material and stencils I became very interested. Thank you for all the info, I think that this is my next must have. 😉 One son calls me Ma or Mam and the other calls me Mammy.
Welcome to the world of Cricut, so much fun to be had with them. If you are doing a lot of iron on work l would recommend the Siser heat press. Now that was a game changer for me.
That's brilliant,I just bought my Cricut Joy, i love that the box it comes in it keeps it safe if you want to take it somewhere else to use outside the house..,I'm excited to see how you use yours and me using mine too 😊😂 enjoy Catherine 🤔😊😁
@@DaintyDiaries noooo 😂 just a tester so far, being 52 and 11 grandchildren I have some great ideas for t-shirts for them all & cards it's going to save me a fortune . Now do i put the names I call the children or their real names 🤔😂 that is the question 😂
It's going to be so much fun with the grandchildren designing their own t-shirts,sweatshirts,bags the lust is endless....didn't even get it out of the box and my grandchildren where shouting "me 1st" they are excited, granny time just got more fun 💚💚💚💚💚
Welcome to Cricut club! I have an old Cricut Explore which still works great. I only use it for crafting and have made tons of fun things from paper crafts to iron-on. Hope you have lots of fun with your new machine. Can’t wait to see what you do with it.
I was toying with the idea of one at Xmas as you can make dollhouse furniture with the maker but I need to have a massive craftroom clear out. Great demo hope you have fun with it x
