Everything Lara sings is masterful. Dimash has followed her career for a long time because she and Igor have collaborated a lot too and he always wanted to work with Igor, and says Lara is one of his idols and he has finally got to perform with her

When they first met I can't honestly tell which one was the most impressed. Dimash looked like a shy boy meeting his idol, and Lara looked like she was in love with him ! :D You REALLY need to see her perform "Je suis malade" with subtitles from the same concert, you'll undertand why he likes her so much ! Dimash sang (earlier this year) with Lara, and Aida Garifullina (Opera singer), with Igor on the piano. Ti Amo Cosi. All 3 voices together gives me goosebumps. You will love it.

Do you have any idea at all of how magically your eyes and comments pierce through the camera. It is like magic. You are looking at a camera, but we perceive it as if you were in the same room with us and you were speaking directly to me or to whoever is watching your reaction. I agree with you, Dimash is not easy listening music!! LOL I can't just turn on his music and have it playing while I do other things. I have to sit and watch it and give it my full attention. It's like, he requires some sort of response from his listeners. He pulls it out of us. And he often looks exhausted after singing a song like this, because he puts his entire body into it! He said in an interview that what he does is like being an athlete. And his father talked about how much he puts into his concerts, and that he is just dripping with sweat at the end of them. His entire body is his instrument. He also spends a lot of time in solitude before his performances, and uses his voice as little as possible both before and after, to rest and prepare it. He has incredible focus!

I often say this, Lara is the master when it comes to conveying feelings & emotions. That is the area she still tops Dimash. Lara and Floor Jansen are my favorite female singers. Dimash is my favorite singer, regardless of gender.

Lara Fabian is an absolutely incredible singer & Dimash is phenomenal, my once in a lifetime. He is breathtaking. Pitch over diction. I will remember that one. Loved to see the two versions compared. That is a great idea. Dimash had to learn the lyrics phonetically at that time. He would be the first to admit his Dinglish needs improvement. He is working on it with an American vocal coach. English is not on the school curriculum in Kazachstan and English spelling does not predict pronunciation. That makes it so hard. French and Italian are easier for that reason for speakers of a Turkic language like Kazakh. I noticed you, like Dimash, wore the colour of the Kazakh flag, which gave you both wings. Alright, You finally did it to me. I was just fine listening to Lara and so thoroughly enjoying your reaction. I was even fine holding myself under control when you watched Dimash, BUT, you have now entered a new and permanent phrase into my descriptive of Dimash. I don't know why and I don't know what it was about the comment, but instantly after making it through all of that, tears didn't just form, they immediately flowed out of my eyes when you said "He was just a servant of the music". It's like the perfect description that I've been looking for for so long. The one that puts it all in perspective and explains the universe that is contained within his voice...it doesn't have to be contained by him, "he was just a servant of the music". "The music is bigger than him" and he accepts it, lets it flow through him and wield him like a perfectly crafted sword that cuts directly into our souls and emblazons its mark permanently on us. Proud to have Lara Fabien as an adopted Canadian. (English Canada barely hears about her - Dimash is the one who led me to discover her beautiful voice.). I love both of their vocals. As a longtime Celine fan, I completely understand why Dimash respects both of these singers. Different, but fantastic. (Dimash wins for me, but respect to both of them!).
