So I checked and the still existing alderaanian people after the events of The original trilogy have an "elected monarch" after Leia kind of renounced her right to rule so she can focus more on political stuff but she (and her family) still hold the title ceremoniously so I guess if he really wanted to he could call himself a prince but wouldn't of done any royal duties growing up seeing as he was off with Luke doing Jedi stuff

I don't know the ages of the people commenting, but I was nine when the original movie came out. There were only a couple of female "heroes" like there are today. There was Harriet Nelson and June Cleaver and there was nothing wrong with them, in fact, their husbands respected them a great deal and that is something. Barbara Stanwick from The Big Valley, Doris Day who played Calamity Jane but those were before my time. My first female hero was Nichele Nichols, Lt Uhura. She is the one I looked up to because she was doing a job that a "boy" would do. She was very smart, beautiful, clever, tough and sophisticated and I was so glad they kept her for the movies. Then, there was Carrie. She meant a lot of my generation of girls who lived in a 'no you can't because you're a girl' world and you were considered a freak if you did boy things or liked doing boy things which were much more fun than girl things. She broke that mold, her and Jodie Foster but Jodie Foster was a kid herself. Carrie let it be known that it was ok to be strong willed, tough, smart and take care of yourself without a boy to "protect" you. This is not to label all boys of my time because a lot were not bad. So, for a freakish, tom boy, outcast of a little girl, she means so much and that is something I feel so blessed to have been able to be a part of and experience.

losing to Rey was so ridiculous xD Kylo was supposedly trained by the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy for a while then apprenticed to this powerful new Emperor yet a girl who's touched a lightsaber twice can absolutely merk him xD And even the stormtrooper holds him off for a few moments xDDD Vader would be rolling over in his grave xD

Ohaye number one snoke hadn't completed the training number 2 neither Rey nor kylo are heavily trained in lightsaber combat so being that kylo was wounded by a wookie crossbow and very inexperienced in lightsaber combat Rey could hold him off because she has experience with her Bo staff which is not hard to transfer onto a lightsaber and she surrendered to the force and let It guide her actions. if Rey was doing flips and complex motions like the shit in the prequels you would have a point but she wasn't. it was pretty much like the choreography in return of the jedi. Luke never had complex lightsaber training either and he beat Vader who did. Luke was a self taught lightsaber user. nowhere near as skilled as Vader and yet he won out of dumb luck. age has nothing to do with it as Vader is mostly robot

So your trying to tell me that Kylo, who was clearly born after the events of ROTJ and would have been involved with Jedi training (which includes lightsaber instruction) since he was very young, would be as inexperienced as someone who has touched one twice? Please. It is stated that he was Luke's best student before he turned and I'd imagine at the time he would have to have been Anakin circa AOTC-age and for a Jedi at that age he'd know how to swing a lightsaber. Plus the entire concept of him being "wounded" was so dumb anyways. So he can stop a blaster bolt no sweat at the start of the film and hold it there for the entire length he is in the area with no drain to himself whatsoever yet he cant redirect a shot from a crossbow? Your kind of reaching saying Kylo isn't heavily trained in lightsaber combat. That isn't stated anywhere in the film. Snoke simply talks about "completing his training" that doesn't mean he's some rookie because in the SW universe that always just means learning to become a more powerful Sith Lord. It doesn't suggest that they are currently completely untrained. I liked the movie don't get me wrong I'm just not afraid to point out the stupid. But I personally like to go with the explanation of her letting the Force flow through her to allow her to win the duel. And I mostly attribute Luke beating Vader in ROTJ to Vader not being overly skilled as a cyborg compared to when he was Anakin along with Luke unleashing his rage for the time it took to disarm Vader. But then of course he got under control and refused to kill him.

This is a bit of a late response, but I don’t think your in the minority at all. I think most people regardless if they loved or hated the movie agreed that Kylo Ren was probably the best & most interesting character in that movie. He was the best part of this sequel trilogy for me.

The one good constant between all the movies was Adam as Kylo and his arc, although I wasnt exactly a fan of the ending of Rise of Skywalker. I wont spoil if no one has seen it but for those who have, you know what I'm saying.

David Brunell In the end I feel like they wasted Adam with these movies. Adam may actually be the best actor they’ve had in Star Wars & to waste him with this trilogy kind of sucks. He deserved so much more & so did pretty much all the actors. The casting for each role were great, it was just the writing & lack of planning that let this trilogy down.

@@ryan.smith01 I get wanting to allow some creative freedom but it should have been either been planned out from the beginning(or atleast the main storyline) or not planned on having 3 different directors for 3 different movies. Because then you have a scenario like The Last Jedi where one writer/director takes everything the first writer/director set up and threw it out the window. Personally I think the movies would have been recieve so much better if they didnt turn Luke into a hermit and completely destroy what his character is/was. I dont know though, I could go on and on about what could have been different or why the decisions made yielded the results they did lol.

David Brunell I don’t really care about Luke being a hermit, that’s fine because he would probably be ashamed of Ben turning to the dark side & failing his sister & best friend. I just don’t like how he was planning on killing his nephew even though he redeemed the 2nd most evil man in the galaxy. It doesn’t make any sense as to why he would try & kill him.
