Hey Adam, glad to see you have your own channel. I just wanted to say thanks. I was in the market for a new mandolin about a month ago and your video from the mandolin store on the Eastman 515V sold me on it. I live in remote central Australia so all of my instruments have to be shipped in from Melbourne or other bigger cities without taking them for a test drive. It's funny that I came across your video, I'm now looking for a new dread and I've been wearing out youtube looking at Eastmans, Blueridge, Alvarez and Sigma's. I think you've reaffirmed who is king of the imports. Now to decide on Rosewood or Mahogany. Anyways, cheers mate! I'll keep an eye out for ya when I visit Nashville in August.
How hard was it to swap from Ping machines to Waverly's? Did you need to plug old holes & drill new - Also ream larger for bushings.? Or closer to plug N play?
How does this compare to the e10d with the adirondack top? I'm shopping for a new guitar but unfortunately Have to buy online so i can't try them out against each other.
Every Eastman acoustic I’ve ever played has a full neck. Bigger on average than the neck profile on a standard D18. IMO they’re probably the most comfortable necks out there, at least for my hands.
