Ok, so... It's 10 months later. When is part 3 coming out? Because this isn't yet cohesive. I also didn't see much use to the build up in describing the racism in part 1, and it was about two thirds of that video. You didn't expand on that here. Now this description of racism is much more relevant, but without the case you describe in part 3 I don't know how much will even this matter, it could have probably been described in a 5 minute short if you were frugal. Do you have an editor? As in, a publishing editor. Cause I'm pretty slre if you did, without a potent finale tying your ideas together, he wouldn't have approved this version of the release of the series.
Now, this is serious scholarship Sir! Very nuanced analysis. You recognize jazz culture and racism as interwined in social preconceptions . This may not be groundbraking in itself but the way you show how culture (understand as socially shared views on world) determined the history of jazz, definately is.
Man I liked your channel but this two part video was awful. First, it's unclear what your point is out of this full hour of video other than "bad things happened to white people as well as black people," a conclusion that nobody disagrees with. Second, this video makes hardly a connection to Ewell or Neely's points, and comes across like an hour long lesson on history that every American learns in grade school.
Still a way to go in this series. we haven't really started yet, and I need to lay down some history for those that are not (and are) Americans. Also, as I've said to others, this will be delayed whilst I'm recovering from a serious illness.
