Adam finally reveals what's inside that mysterious storage chest that's appeared in recent Tested videos! It's a fully custom-built steamer trunk vault for housing and displaying Adam's collection of replica science-fiction blaster props, including his most prized prop builds. We're taken on the journey of this passion project during its finishing touches and Adam gives a guided tour of each prop proudly on display.

I know Adam is a true organizer and "a place for everything and everything in its place" is branded deep into his DNA. But my suggestion for the "Roger Rabbit" bullets is to secure them randomly only the shelves throughout the case. Basically like they got of their box and have been running around rampant inside the case.

@@Bad_Wolf_Media Beautiful build. I feel like the next gen would be a cabinet built into the trunk of a car from, well, almost any bad ass movie. Sci-fi blasters form Men in Black in the trunk of a Ford LTD Crown Victoria or some crazy device in a Chevy Mailbu etc.

i have to say yes and no,, yes becuase your one step closer to having a matrix weapons vault at your fingertips,, no becuase it looks like a magicians magic box rather than the men in black ammo crate we know youve got in you,, maybe some batarang throwing blades and a futuristic high tech pirate gun, dont forget the wrist piece from cowboys and aliens,, triple barrel men in black gun you need some blue, green and red neon lights possibly a fingerprint and access denied screen with a digital globe hologram put a noisy cricket bullet through the controle panel for the actual theme of the crate id run with nasa white vs aliens nest wall sprawl have a mini crate at the bottom for random parts for future builds maybe some soda cans slurm toxic venom test tube samples just do a second build these crates are vital for future inspiration i did speak too soon its a masterpiece but totally worth another build for more guns ghostbusters and just a bunch of alien guns shotguns and so on frodos sword and some savage weaponry,, peculiar catapults with schematics some kind of breifcase ,,,,,,, with a pop up sentry turret or odd looking radio that freezes time with a matching watch or something a severd transformers hand cannon a batteries not included drone with pop out guns just some for thought if anything ha

I love how almot at the end of the video, Adam looked at the vault, paused and exhales heavily. I'm sure the whole memory just rushing in and made him nostalgic for a moment. I love how he talks about every piece he has and the stories behind em. Amazing work as always.

20:08 It could be a lot of fun if you made a small box with a lid for the bullets, and then put a speaker in the lid so when you open it up, it plays the audio of the bullets speaking from the film, making it seem like the bullets are actually alive and speaking to you!

Dude, those guns had me WEEPING. I'm soooo incredibly jealous! Not only do you have a PERFECT recreation of a pulse rifle... but a Righteous Bison replica too (seen in Team Fortress 2 - one of my FAVOURITE games). It's always a gift to see the Samaritan you built. That thing is a beast. There's something so therapeutic about holding a to-scale, metal, replica gun from a movie/game. That pulse rifle might be notoriously heavy, but I'd gladly let it drag me to the bottom of a riverbed in my final moments. Just living the dream right there. Okay nerding over...

I’m fairly sure that bison isn’t a replica, mainly because the tf2 weapon is based on the prop, not the other way around. All the Dr. Grordbort weapons are based on weta workshop props that existed. In fact I think you can still buy the prop bison and manmelter from weta today.

@@zanforian Yeah I was aware it was a collab (almost) and that the in-game thing is modelled after the prop. Just worded it that way because then it falls in line with all the other beautiful props Adam has. However going back, the in-game thing was the first I saw of it, so to me I think of the prop as a replica of TF2. Kinda like whenever I see a tactical shovel, I think of the Soldier lol

Fun fact, the injection molded Dr. Grordbort gun you had mentioned is actually depicted in the FPS Team Fortress 2, named The Righteous Bison. It's a silly little gun, not very practical, but definitely fun to mess around with.

36:50 Well the Thompson itself was a _heavy_ submachine gun, the receiver being milled from a single block of steel bar stock. Made it nice and controllable in full-auto, but soldiers quickly got tired of humping it all over Europe and various Pacific islands.

I've been building replica and real guns since I was a kid. It's great to see Adam's enthusiasm in his movie prop guns. I worked on a couple for Peter Jackson and taught the Weta Workshop guys how to shoot Lee Enfield rifles for an airshow re-enactment battle.

I was eyeing the M41A Pulse Rifle the whole time. I was like just get to it. I was glad to hear that he's trying to get Robocops pistol. When I was stationed in Japan in the early 2000's I almost bought an airsoft version of Robocops pistol. To this day I wish I had gotten it. Also suprised there isn't the classic Stormtrooper blaster in there. I would love to see his cave in person. So many cool props and what not.

I love the move "The Professional" so much. If I had to choose one gun to have a replica of, it would be Mathilda's M1911 and the lunchbox case lined with felt to go with it.

Funny enough: The "Man with no name" revolver was suppose to (given by the time period) be portrayed as a 1851 Colt Navy. Although for the shots involving the actors firing their pistols, they used cartridge converted counterparts. Now converted "cap and ball" revolvers did exist in the late 1860's, but they had the loading rod replaced with a shell ejector etc, and no longer had the appearance of the outdated percussion guns. For the film, Uberti (don't quote me on that) was the official armourer, and for Clint's character - they provided him with a Colt 1872 Open top replica, which was a transitional model between the Colt Navy, and the Colt 1873 Single Action "Peace maker". The revolver used in the movie was then fitted with the Colt Navy Barrel, with the "era correct" loading lever below, to give it a percussion revolver look. The 1872 open top frame is technically identical to the 1851 Navy, but with some small improvements in the frame. Mainly it has a more refined loading hatch in the side, compared to the converted Navy's. The 1851 Navy is also fully open where the hammer strikes, with the 1872 open top has the top of the hammer inclosed by the frame when in the lower position.

I have a Uberti “man with no name” version, which copied the movie version and shoots .38 special (converted to cartridges). From what I understand, .38 special blanks were common and worked better than blanks for black powder guns.

19:21 I completely agree with your sentiment about Ghost in the Shell. I think my favorite thing about it is that Togusa uses a Chiappa Rhino. In the original movie, he uses a Mateba 2007M (which is really a 2006M), then in SAC he uses a Unica 6. All of those firearms were designed by Emilio Ghisoni, leaving a cleverly disguised connection to the original movie while not using a very rare and difficult to find firearm.

As a firearm collector, the use of the Mauser C96 for Han Solo’s blaster and the Bergman 1896 for the Mandalorian series have given me very mixed feelings. With cosplayers modifying actual collectible firearms to accurately recreate the movie props for their own collections has had the dual effect of reducing the remaining number of working pieces and raising the sales price on the remaining few real guns, it has also brought attention to the incredible engineering that was being done over 100 years ago without the machinery and computer capabilities we have today. I know Adam doesn’t have a modified real firearm other than the S&W. I’m just saying, I’ll by that Bergman from you if you were thinking about welding a 20 cal flash hider on it.

Lemme start by saying this is amazing and I'm in such awe of the magnitude and complexity of the build. just... *chefs kiss* perfection. That being said, personally, Id leave The Samaritan and Yosemite Sam's guns in their custom boxes. The box for those, props are part of the prop itself. Just my two cents.

That looks thoroughly fabuolus. I can't express just how much I'd love to visit and get to see those pieces up close. One thought though, I think a second pass at the labels might be in order. Perhaps laser printed, in similar style to the Vuitton case label. The handwritten labels don't quite live up to the rest.

That looks really cool and to be able to display them together is so Firefly. the one thing missing is that the edges are actually edged with a tongue and grooved to inter-locked when closed to take the shift shock away from the hinges and latches. the covering looks wicked

Im definitely getting to know how it feels about things never really being finished. I've just gotten started as a maker with the heavy metal patch vest i am working on and i quickly found myself going back to previous patches and either rearranging them or replacing them all together for another that fits my desires a bit better.

yeah especially the part where he has his fingers covering the muzzle constantly. and he actually flagged the camera every time he took something out of the safe. its just toys but don't act like this was any type of safe firearm handling

This is so badass! The story behind each gun is awesome! I am a big fan of Leon as well. A couple of ideas for future guns I think would be the two gold 1911’s that Nicholas Cage used in face off. I also think the smith snubbed nose nickel plated smith and Wesson model 36 from the movie Running Scared would be a good addition. Now that I think about it, the revolver with the extra long barrel that Jack Nicholson uses as the joker in Batman would be pretty sweet too!

@4:18 I am thinking I hope he uses a quill pen to write the labels. Don't disappoint me Adam! I grew up in an old farmhouse that had all kinds of treasures literally hidden away in secret places only a child would think to look. Luke letters from the 1800's in a secret compartment in a wall, a collection of whale and sharks teeth in a crawl space under the foundation, or a large collection of small bottles of sand from places all over the world hidden behind some steps leading to a terrace. One thing that fascinated me the most was the labels these things had in them. The calligraphy was completely unreadable to me, but the old lady who owned the house would light up with joy when I would being them to her and tell me what each one said and tell me a story to go with them one by one. I'd all but forgotten about that experience till now. Funny how a video about a box could bring that all back.

If he can be this responsible with "fake" guns i don't see any excuse for people being irresponsible with real ones! A simple lock on a chest only you have a key to would suffice.

Cool build! I'm sorta surprised that with all this interest in prop guns, that you aren't into real firearms also. Was especially surprised that you deactivated Indiana Jones' revolver. (I know there is a safety factor, but that can be handled.) How cool to go to the range and actually shoot a gun that one of your favorite characters used. I'm a history buff, and have studied weaponry and its development to the point where I've made my own bow, learned to knap so I could make heads for my arrows, when I was young, my dad and I build a small onager, crossbows, knife and spear throwing, slings, etc. While handling this stuff is enjoyable, actually using them takes things to another level. Are you just not interested in that aspect of these items, or some other reason?

From what he said, I think the Indy pistol was demilled when he purchased it. He acquired it from the UK, and it is a legal requirement there under most circumstances.

@@EvanCurrie I'd have to go back and rewatch it, because my memory was that he demilled it, but I could very well be wrong. Don't know why he would buy it from England, it would be more easily available here, I would think. Even living in Kali, buying it wouldn't be particularly difficult.

Y’all gotta stop with these intros. Please just do a normal Adam intro. They’re confusing and unnecessary. Showing the finished product in the first minute ruins the whole thing IMO. This isn’t television- you don’t need to bait my attention- I decided I want to watch this.

Watching this made me think of two things. First, the various collectibles, replicas and one-of-a-kind pieces I have, these are the kinds of things folks like us are so proud to own and display. And the second is how Adam so reminds me of my brother. Like Adam, he's a little eccentric, full of giddy energy, something of a mad scientist, he's constantly building, tinkering. And people will ask him, "Why have you built this thing?" and his answer, as I'm sure Adam's might be, is either "Because I could" or "Why not?". I love that about him and I enjoy seeing it in Adam.

This was one of my favorites among videos you've made. All of these movies are pieces of my childhood and teen years, and watching the obvious glee with each piece you displayed made me want to go back and watch a bunch of these. I think Pulp Fiction is first on my list. Thanks for sharing.
