I rode adapts for 8 months, I usually ride a size 42 aeon but adapt recommended me a size 39 brutale. First 3 sessions were very painful. After that I thought all issues were fixed but I kept getting new pressure points, heatmoulding them out, getting new pressure points, rinse and repeat. When there were issues with the skin and the tongue I sent them to adapt for repair (which was easy because I live in the Netherlands). I used my aeons again which I thought would be untill I received my fixed adapts. The second I put my feet in my aeons I felt liberated and at home. No more pressure points, no more stabs in my ankle, no more pain in my toes. The quality and aesthetic of adapt products is pretty neat, but If people would ask me if I'd recommend them I'd say no. The risk of disappointment is too high for that amount of money. I'm pretty curious about factions tho.

Had the Factions for about 3-4 weeks now.. I did have to heat mold them as there was more pressure in the toes than I like. And I probably could have upsized to the 11.5. But other than that, they have been amazing! I feel like they are breaking in well and I'm not getting any pressure points or blisters (was getting blisters on my old rb Solos). To be clear, I'm not getting any toe pain, but I can feel the boot on my toe every now and then, but just barely. So glad I got the Factions! Edit: should also note that I skate for about 1-1.5 hours 3-4 times a week.

Man, that's a stiff price to pay for uncomfortable skates. That reminds when I bought the first version of USD carbons, they were super expensive, yet skating with them was horrendous, I got back to previous skates and never used the carbons again.

@@cfronin sometimes you just gotta respect the skate that works for your feet. If aeons would slide a bit better they'd be perfect. Fortunately, sliqx is here to save the day.

I had a very similar experience when it came to sizing and fitting the skate. They had me downsize from a UK 9.5 to an 8. The pain never went away, I'd told them I wasn't really confident in going down to that size and that an 8.5 would be probably the best for me, they wouldn't budge with a good old "trust us bro" , I heat moulded twice, could never stop the feeling that my toes were literally gonna push through the front of them. Way way too small even after taking photos and doing measurements etc with then. Sold them within a month of getting them for how shitty my experience was. But as a company, they really couldn't care less once they had the money and they force you to purchase on their terms not your own.

The 2023 black brutale seemed to change the toe box from what they had in the grey Jbahs which I liked better. The toe box ended up feeling smaller and the skate felt shorter and hurt my toes a lot. I hear this is fixed on the JF model though. I fixed this with aggressive heat molding to blow out the toe box with a creative set of wheels and clamps and hot spot removal tools. Now I love them ❤. We shouldn’t need to go through this extra effort obviously, but in a lot of cases they are fixable. 2024 model should have fixes so I would ask adapt first, before buying, what has been refactored.

transparency for pro skater compensation should be an industry wide priority. In mainstream sports it is public info what players are being paid via contract. How will pro rollerbladers know what their market value is without transparency? Thanks for the helpful vid Brandon. I doubt I'll pony up for these. I could get two pairs of skates for that price. Or a nice boot and wizard frame perhaps. For those looking for that perfect comfort I'm sure adapt will be a great option. I think for me I'd rather just have more options in my skate hardware. So different boots, frame, wheel set ups makes a bit more sense for the money than one skate to rule them all so to speak. For me. Keep up the great work bro man.

Skates felt like splints with zero lateral flex. Had them sitting in my garage for 2 years and happily sold them. The factions have been a much better option for me and Clark is the man. #breakmylegsaboutit

I've owned 4 pairs of these and always had zero pain except for my 1st pair. It had a small pressure point and after heat mold and breaking in it went away. Adapt skates have been the only ones I've been able to skate in without pain. They're amazingly comfortable if sized properly. They are super expensive though. Sadly they won't be making any of the leather skates anymore, so after my current pair wears out, I have to find a new brand.

The pressure point in my case disappeared after heat modeling it twice and wearing my rollerblades during two weeks everyday for more thsn 1 hour. Now are most of the most comfortable skates among others I've got. I'm pretty happy with them. I have two adapt already

I had to order size 42 whereas I used to ride Remz size 44. I did a heat mold just before the first session. The skates became perfect after a few sessions. Curiously I had pain on a pressure spot on the ankle after 2 years of skating. Nevertheless I did another heat mold and it solved the problem. My Adapt are perfect again!

If i'm not mistaken, the Frame and Soleplate Material ist POM, the same that the Entente Frames (diridari and Axysz) as well as the Freeletting Antirockers are made of.

I didn't have issues with pressure points or size. For me they never recommended any aggressive downsizing but they did make a custom half size for me 0.5 sizes below my normal fit size and it fit lovely from day zero. There was some break in, but it was not painful at all. Also they don't really skate much like a hockey skate. Can't really compare them to anything else I have ever skated, maybe like the old K2 aggressive skates from back int he day.

so brandon as far as sizing goes...it seems adapt is recommending sizing down but ive heard a decent amount of people wishing they order their normal size or closer to their regular size. what do you think is the best option here? go with the adapt recommmendation? stay with your normal size? meet them in the middle? one thing i think to keep in mind is that, yes our feet are a standard size resting, but they are super malleable in the sense that when we do activities such as Running, Walking, Skateboard, Rolleblading, Ice Skating. Applying pressure down on our feet from our body weight causes our feet to go outwards toe splay. so when we put in boots/shoes keep in mind they expand and will not stay stationary. our feet crave movement in that way. the LAST thing you want is Neuroma (Pinched Nerve) or any Nerve Compression in your feet, because after some time the damage can be irreversible and not worth destroying your feet at the end of the day.

I'd recommend following their instructions here: www.adaptbrand.com/findyoursize to get your mondo point and choosing the corresponding size in their chart. You should be fine there. I would have been in a EU43 if I did that vs the 41.5 I was recommended.

how do the symetrics frames compare to the diri dari???? and next live skate sesh when ??? :D
@ricardoferrao9596
@ricardoferrao9596 10 месяцев назад
Both are excellent. Diridari has a deeper groove and wheel bite protection, so the angle for groove tricks is not so steep. Symetrics go max 65mm (instea of 60mm)put you need to be more precise with your grinds.

Well, 25 years ago, K2 Fattys felt super confortable day one, so I'm not sure what Adapt really brought to the table. They look super stiff, do they feel like carbon skates ? I've hate skating carbon skates and that's a shame because they look super cool.

Thank you so much I haven't skated much in the past decade but I considered buying these. I have a ton of metal in my left ankle - I run a few times a week and work out daily - my ankle is fine now but it sounds awful with this build. It really seems like plastic is superior due to how soft it is. Not everything needs to be carbon fiber. Thank you for saving me a rack. W mans

So I have to wait months to get these skates and then take months with pain in my feet to break them in, annnnnd then they’ll be a perfect fit. This is why I stick to Them, USD, Razors.

I'm curious what Adapts would be like for Wizarding, I saw they've got their new WZRD baseplate but I've not seen anyone using them yet. Personally I don't know if it would be worth trying to get used to the no cuff thing, because I like a cuff and forward flex. Great video yo 🍻

@@jerusunum8160 oh okay that's interesting, I kinda assumed if anything they'd be very stiff and cast like which tbf I'm not the biggest fan of. Luckily I'm good for Wizard skates atm, but I'll no doubt try the new Wizard Boots when they drop.

The Brutale is very much an agressive skate and skates like it. It isn't a stiff carbon boot with a soul plate attached, parts of it are stiff, parts are quite flexible, but it is kinda of weird it flexes very... uniformly if that makes sense.

Support 3 of the best skaters ever or support a company that doubled down on threatening it's team skater? Easy choice.
@BigNoiseyBoi
@BigNoiseyBoi 10 месяцев назад
The main problem with this company is their attitude, they're on the fringe of aggressive skating, offer a previous service, but act like premium wankers once youve already paid them a lot of the people commenting here are doing it out of their experiences with the company
